Drudge Report Presents Satire As News, Internet Sucks It Up.
You won't find any mention of it on the Drudge Report now, but the conservative "news" aggregating mega site linked an article from EAGnews that was itself content from satire site, Dailyleak.org. Within hours this disinformation had been spread all over the Internet.

Drudge sucks and they NEVER admit their errors or post redactions.

It was not written in the style of typical satire and had the look of professional journalism. It contained enough reference to a real thing (the ties between Monsanto, Obama and let's be honest, MOST of DC), that it was believable. My first thought upon reading it was, "Wow, this is really appalling but given Monsanto's reach in DC, could it be true?"

It's concerning how fast and far disinformation can be spread once it's picked up by a site like DR. Many of the sites that re-post content linked by DR are themselves blogs that give the false appearance of legitimacy. Very few ever post a redaction and so this disinformation will sit for years, waiting for unsuspecting people to stumble upon it.

Link?

I don't see anything remotely like that on Drudge.

If they pulled it, looks like you were wrong.

Why should Drudge post a retraction. Drudge is not a reporter. Drudge isn't reporting shit. Drudge is just telling us what others are reporting.

Get over it.

I love the Drudge Report. It's my home page along with tens of millions of my closest friends. HA!

as an aggregate site they don't fell the need
as "their errors" as you call them are actually
someone else's.

sort of like the media not reporting Islamic
terrorism when everyone know it is.

Except what Drudge does is far less damaging.

This looks like something conjured up in the DNC for release to the MSM.

Zodlary's Reno speech failed to hit the mark on "alt-right media".
This type of press release was expected to drive nails into them. Instead it has driven users to the sites who are reading the content.
