The benefit of quantum computing indeed is, that each "thread" of the multithreading takes place in alternative realities and coalesces back into this reality. So it's possible to have million simultaneous processing threads (depending on the amount of qubits).

Most programs however work single-threaded. It's difficult to write programs which can benefit millions of simultaneous threads. The best application for it would be a holographic simulation because that would truly benifit the many number of threads.

Not to mention this video is a few years old now and in it he speaks about how the system has been in place for a few years before this.

These people are funny, I work on computers all day, they are as good as their programming. Get an evil programmer, you will have HAL 2000 or TERMINATOR – get a nice guy and he will make it do stuff to help you out.

I know exactly what they are up to – they are trying to eliminate the human factor.

Get a computer to drive trucks – remove the human factor
Get a computer to drive your car – remove the human factor
Automate burgers, and the order taking – no more kids with jobs

Quantum computers are NOTHING like normal computers.
Normal computers use binary at the core, zeros and ones, quantum computers are not fixed.
