Why does USA hate socialism so much?

It is far better for all to give men real opportunity and incentives than to give them handouts.

Is that like what they have in Venezuela?

Lets say its the guarantee of every citizen, that citizenship gives them their basic human needs via a system of collective contribution and redistribution of wealth of the country.

By what means do you hope to achieve that aim? By the implementation of what policy?

We think it is more desirable for those who work for what they have to be able to keep it and redistribute it as they themselves please.

Handouts in other words how does this advance a person morally, spiritually if all they must do is open their mouths and hands waiting what others have worked for instead of these pathetic lazy losers?

The problem with Socialism is that it's never really Socialism.

It's used as a weapon. It creates weak people that are easily controlled by their governments.

Essentially it creates a barrier between the elites and the rest of the populace.

Because you peasant. No matter how much you aspire and have the talent. Will never be allowed to compete with your rulers. Because if you do get close you will get taxed to death to pay for a permanent underclass. If that underclass gets too small and doesn't warrant the taxes. They will bring in more from all over the world to feed the need to prevent you from obtaining wealth and be free of their shackles.

During the Cold War, the US government was brainwashing every American citizen with anti-socialist propaganda. Probably the US elite believed that Capitalism is more effective in controlling the masses. Anyway, because of the heavy propaganda brainwashing, right now 99% of Americans don't even know that such thing as Scandinavian countries exist, or that Europe successfully moved towards Centrism many decades ago. Talking with an average American for an European is like it was talking for Columbus with savages.

You must be young. You don't remember the aggression of Communism, and before that, National Socialism. It's what WW2 was all about.
