Does Anyone Here Actually Read Past The First Page...

For threads over 3 pages, I read the first page and then the last page to gauge whether or not there is something of interest to read, otherwise I read the first page and then go and play solitaire

That actually seems about right. That's the pattern I'm seeing.

A lot of times the bulk of detail and conversation is within 3-5 pages.

Then we start with the basic questions again.

Frustrating.

I try to read it all if I am going to comment, so as not to repeat what has already been said. Sometimes I am compelled to break this self imposed rule. But it seems to be good forum etiquette.

I have been lurking here for over 10 years but have to say that my days here are almost done.
This forum, over the last year, has become crap. Where have all the great posters of years past gone?

Nobody here even reads past the subject line.

People are just here to just spooge out the first thing they think of when they read the thread title, drive-by style, and leave immediately after.

Who told you this was a place of discussion?

No one told me that. Some excellent discussions have evolved when people actually take the time to read other people responses though.

Over the past few months, I've noticed that many don't seemingly read beyond the first page of a thread and then respond.

Unfortunately for them, I listen towards the core meeting Between Mr. Trump and KIllery the meat of the conversation is within all the little , from pages 3-5 from the community pool. That's the detailed responses are. After that, it seems to revert back to the basics.

Anyone else?

Personally, I prefer to read the responses before I ask a question that has already been answered, or stick my foot in my mouth.

I find I want to post this smiley more often.
