To be honest, what probably happened here, is that the person who took the original video claimed ownership of it, probably in an attempt to sell, rather than let the AP post it everywhere for free.

At the end of the day, it's kind of a moot point, isn't it? The video is already everywhere. Not much anyone can do about it.
