Amarican Natural History Museum & the Illustrated London News publishes a two-page black and white drawing of Mr. and Mrs. Nebraska Man with clearly Ape-like features...

According to "The Forum", Nebraska Man, "constitutes infinitesimal but irrefutable evidence that the man-ape wandered over from Asia into North America".

Whoops...

"Nebraska Man" turns out to have been extrapolated from a single tooth, the tooth of a Pig, and not even an extinct pig.

Wait a second, what about Piltdown Man?

Piltdown Man was discovered in a gravel pit in Sussex, and was accepted by experts at the British Museum and elsewhere as an ancient ape-man. It was given the scientific name of Eoanthropus Dawsoni in honor of its discoverer.

For 40 years Piltdown Man was broadcast throughout the world as "PROOF" of Evolution...

Whoops again...

It turned out Piltdown Man was doctored fragments of a 500-year-old human skull, and orangutan jawbone, and a couple of chimpanzee teeth.
