Best Star Trek Moment... Bones: " Dam it Jim... I'm a Doctor Not A Brick Layer"!
I recently bought the original Star Trek DVD's that has all the old episodes and one just cracked me up. Kirk and Bones and Spock beamed down to some planet that was having some rock mining problems. Some alien creature made of rock was killing all the human minors. When Captain Kirk phased the rock creature it became injured. Later... Kirk asked Dr. McCoy to help the injured rock creature and Bones replied...." Dam it Jim... I'm a doctor not a brick layer". One of the funniest lines ever in Star Trek.

That's episide was on tv the other day. Bones is awesome. The actor playing Bones in the reboot movies is pretty lame, no charismalike DeForrest Kelly. City on the Edge of Tomorrow is great, haunting ending.

THAT thing had to be one of the LAMEST
"creatures" of 50s and 60s sci-fi.

Very hard to watch if you enjoyed sci-fi.

I winced in embarrassment for the guys who
came up with it. That's what happens when
you GOT NO DOUGH.

You obviously have hardly watched any old sci fi b-movies (or c or d lol). There were lots of lame monsters and yes Star Trek had some lame monsters. So what.

The stories were great though, unlike the stories of today; shallow with lots of bling and no substance or character development, and you can barely understand the plot. Sucks to be you.

What they did to the new version of Wrath of Khan is blasphemy.

Born in 1950. Watched every single one of them.
Have yet to find a sci-fi movie I haven't seen,
at least American made.
Looks like I hit a nerve? I loved TOS, and hated
everything after that, including the pussified
Capt Jean Luc Picard's Next Generation.
Prime Directive?
Blast their asses!

Another good one here from TOS. Bones clubbing a disguised monster who subsists on salt out of people. Proving his theory by overhand clubbing the thing repeatedly like a good doctor should. Laugh every time.

We all miss Deforest Kelly.

Wonder how long William and Nichelle will continue the trek with us.

Those guys had a blast making that show and they had no idea how big it would be...years after. Low budget = creativity.

WTF is TOS? No matter,

Back in the day we as kids were watching sci fi from Japan (more than Godzilla) and Peter Cushing movies on Sat. afternoons.

Hahaha, actually Bones was a pretty crap doctor. Most of the people he treated fucking died. How may times did he say "He's Dead Jim".

My favorite episode is Errand of Mercy. That's the very first episode with Klingons. The Klingon leader (Kor I think his name was) is probably one of the best performances of any actor on that show.

My favorite episode is the one where Kirk bumps into Spock at the urinals and says, "Nice watch!"
