Wondering Mind User ID: 22054163 United States 09/15/2016 09:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes, I do not buy that smear campaign against the tobacco industry. My dad had COPD but he also had TB and he had a lung burned and collapsed making ammunition. He still worked as and electrician in the mines and he was a farmer. He had served in the military. He has scarring of his lungs and the doctor said there were tiny pin holes in the lungs. He said it came from the TB. Dad smoked, but his health problems never came from smoking, it came from respiratory failure and respiratory arrest, due to low oxygen levels after he got older and caught the flu in June. He never used oxygen or received health management by any practicing physician. My grandmother had COPD but she also had diabetes from before she ever graduated high school. S he lived to be 82 yoa, smoked and had chronic kidney failure and of course heart failure. My family are smokers but none have died to lung cancer. They have died of colon cancer, brain cancer, melanoma and leukemia. I think it is to damage our tobacco industry and to set up a false blame for blaming, the cancer and other illness reasons on the patients for making their own selves sick. Like humans are immortal physically in their body. Completely immune to all things bad even those that they are born with in their blood and bones. I stopped listening to them a long time ago. The most precious things are the simple things in life, always present in the simplest of minds. |

I smoked for over half my life. I am also firmly of the belief that virgin lungs are very unhealthy to have. Chemtrails effect those with virgin lungs way worse than a person who has smoked. |

For personal disinfections nothing enjoyed such favour as tobacco; the belief in it was widespread, and even children were made to light up a reaf in pipes. Thomas Hearnes remembers one Tom Rogers telling him that when he was a scholar at Eton in the year that the great plague raged, all the boys smoked in school by order, and that he was never whipped so much in his life as he was one morning for not smoking. It was long afterwards a tradition that none who kept a tobacconist shop in London had the plague. |

These 3 things may save your life IMO. Discuss...... The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expression should be our first object. ~ Thomas Jefferson, Inaugural Address, 1801 It is not only vain, but wicked, in a legislator to frame laws in opposition to the laws of nature, and to arm them with the terrors of death. This is truly creating crimes in order to punish them. ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1779 |

The problem is the tobacco industry adds chemicals to their product to make it addictive. Quoting: Deplorable Anonymous Coward 4125656 I'm not saying the good outweighs the bad, but if their were a chemical attack it would be good to have a couple smokes in your bug out bag |

Deplorable Anonymous Coward User ID: 72983575 United States 09/15/2016 09:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had lung cancer and I've never smoked - well, maybe an occasional 410 back in my teen years, but never cigs. Mine was a metastasis of a soft tissue sarcoma in my leg. It wasn't a primary lung cancer, but it was in my lung. They removed a lobe of my lung - fortunately we're born with five so I still have four left. The notion that smoking prevents lung cancer is bullshit. The real reason most lung cancers aren't from smoking is because cancer metastasizes in the chest - lungs is a favorite place for it to camp out and grow. |
