Thanks you voice of reason and truth! This morning, the mainstream press BLAMED SOCIAL MEDIA and CT SITES for causing panic!!! And this time they are right. Having some of your Mods make it worse proves what this is about.

I just went out and got 100 Gallons of gas in my 20-five gallon fuel cans, and topped off My Truck and the Wife's van.

I noticed at walmart where I just bought 4 cans, that there was only 12 cans left.

Everybody at the pumps was staring at me and my son filling the tanks. $250 to top off, plus we bought some fuel stabilizer for the cans.

Folks are buying up all of the fuel cans. Harbor freight had zero cans

Experiencing shortages in Kentucky. Bowling Green, some stations are closed, with signs blaming it on pipeline

REAL UPDATE HERE:

In Nashville, some stations have gas and some do not. Some stations that had gas Friday night do not have any now. Some that didn't have any Friday night do have some now. I was just out and I saw 2 stations with none and 1 that had all pumps operation and at most there was 1 car waiting behind the one pumping.

Nobody seems panicked at this point. Although, I topped off on Saturday morning and saw people acting like assholes in order to get a spot in line. Like, obviously cutting in front of people.

I've been on GLP for a long time and I did feel a little tension Friday night into Saturday morning. I can tell you that the availability of gas in Nashville is less than normal. Whether that is really because of a broken pipeline (which I still haven't heard anything about on any channel other than local Nashville channel 2 and can't find any pictures or videos of), or if this was just a media-induced (and glp-induced!!!) panicked "gas run", it does show an interesting scenario.

Just imagine if this was a total stoppage of gas shipments...

Fascinating! I am just north of New Smyrna beach, figured we would be unaffected here since different pipeline, guess not. Luckily I have a buttload of gas cans, suppose I will fill a few.

Report from my wife just leaving fayeteville, TN and heading home. She was able to find one gas station that had fuel, but it was only premium, and it was only one of the pumps. All the other handles were tagged with stickers.

I am relieved that she did not need the fuel, she was topping off because I asked her to...

Inman is okay from what I am hearing from family in the area.

No issues yet but West and east NC are reporting widespread shortages

Nashville update:

Decided to take a short trip around Donelson to check firsthand. Stopped at seven stations. Two Mapcos, two BPs, Kroger, Thornton's and a Philips 66.

They all appear to be completely out of fuel. Either pump nozzles covered, signs posted, pumps turned off, or cones blocking entrance (Kroger).

Hopefully delivery trucks come tomorrow... guessing that might be the case, but we'll see.

No deliveries. I'm about an hour and fourty five minutes east of you and all sations out completely exept one and has very little left in its reserve it's pumping. This is going to go bad quick...

My town doesn't have any gas and aren't sure if the Tuesday delivery will actually happen yet.

I stay at home most of the time, so no gas isn't a huge issue, but I'll go to the store tomorrow when I have to take my mom to the doctors. Two birds.

Nashville news just blamed it on people panicking for the shortage this morning.
