Gold, in a real crisis situation, will be worth what any other heavy object that could be used either as a bullet, a fishing weight, or other weighted object would be worth.

I sleep better knowing I have steel, lead, and brass, because in a real SHTF scenario, thats all thats going to matter.

It's amazing how all these people come out against gold saying the most stupid, idiotic things like "da, you can't eat gold, Da".

To these very confused and extremely ignorant people: the most likely scenerio is a debt collapse. The Fed will print orders of magnitude more money than they ever have because that is the only thing they have left. When they do this (probably sooner than later) gold, silver, Bitcoin, food, bullets, the basic necessities of life will sky rocket in price, while property, cars, luxury items, yachts, etc, will collapse in price. You will be able to buy a luxury yacht for an oz of gold and maybe a house for 10 ozes of gold. This exact scenerio has happened time and time again, in just about every case where governments and central banks hit the print to infinite button.

This debt collapse has already started. The only scenerio where gold will not be worth it's weight is in a true, literal, biblical apocalypse where people are literally eating each other. Odds are strongly against this happening, so most likely gold, silver, bitcoin, etc, will perform quite well in this debt collapse.
