Stepdad tards - Can you be friends with your step tard kids dad????

You are childish. Who cares if he bagged your now wife. Your responsibility as her husband is to be a father to the children as if they were yours. But you would actually hurt that boy more than anything if you beat his dad's ass in front of him. You are now his protector, not his tormentor.

By the way, I speak from experience. My ex husband beat me for 4 yrs. I had a 2 yr old & a 3 month old when I finally got out. My husband raised my oldest two from 2 to 22 and 5 Mos to 20. And we had another together that is 18. He actually hired my ex husband to work, so that my oldest two could see that their dad wasn't bad. My husband built up my exhusband for no other reason but to make my oldest two children little prouder of their real bio dad. That's what you do as a step parent. You make it your responsibility to be better, not to be worse.
