UN Plaza and Civic Center in San Francisco evacuated due to possible gunman
San Francisco's Civic Center and UN Plaza have been evacuated while police deal with a man who may be armed, according to local media.

Full details as to what is unfolding in the area are still emerging but all motorists and pedestrians have been forced to leave the area, according ABC-owned Bay Area station KGO.

The suspect has been described simply as an adult male, who is seen holding something that may possibly look like a weapon. However, there are no confirmed reports of what exactly the alleged suspect is holding.

Police, with their guns drawn, are monitoring the outskirts of the plaza and the surrounding area.
