He could've been in his car, waiting to make a marijuana sale in that parking lot away from his family. His gun was there for self-defense. (Not excusing all this, just saying I can see this being why he was out there with these things IF, in fact, he had the items the police say they found). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71674335 they cut out the part where the first cop yells, "LIGHT HIM UP!!!" . Watching a lot of T.J. Hooker episodes on Netflix? Do you know how much time it takes to say "Light him up!" when you're on a hair trigger and your life is potentially a split second from ending? No one's going to say "Light him up". it takes exactly as long as saying "here it comes" just before a car hits you. |

"grip in his hand.. grip in his hand" Quoting: TheDeplorableTangy or something like that? *body cam video* I couldn't get what was being said - but that implies they were speaking for the benefit of the audio - did they think their cams were off? This is cold blooded execution - my daughter is 17 - she says its like there is nothing any of these people could have done to avoid being shot. What was Crutcher supposed to do - what was Scott supposed to do? There is clearly some severe form of psychosis evident within the US police forces of some counties - like they think they are in a clansman video war game. Beyond sickening. JC- User ID: 72456936 United Kingdom 09/24/2016 08:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK. There are 2 scenarios here. Quoting: JC- 1. The suspect had a gun, didn't comply with numerous instructions and was shot. 2. The suspect didn't have a gun, didn't comply with numerous instructions and was shot. It matters not a whit if he was actually armed or not. If you are told to "drop the gun" or "put your hands up". You do it. You try to tickle a cloud and show that you are no threat to the men with the guns. It's a natural reaction when faced with several policemen brandishing firearms who have not shot yet. His past criminal record, to be honest, is of no consequence in the here and now. If he had simply put his hands up and was then shot, THEN there is a MASSIVE problem. If you are a cop facing someone who you think may be armed, you can bet your bottom dollar that you do everything within your power to ensure that he/she isn't. It is simply common sense. I have been in similar situations a few times but thankfully no shots were required. Any thoughts? Don't believe everything you see on TV or read on the internet. - Sir Isaac Newton |
