I notice every time I spend a $10.00 or $20.00 bill they always check it to see if it is legit.

I've noticed too. They even check one dollar bills as well.

I sometimes ask for all $1.00 bills back and want them ALL checked...

Its like they look at you that something is wrong if you pay cash.

I also noticed that the teller puts a red or black marker on it and other bills are not with this marker. The thing about is that sometimes I think the bills are fake and meant still put on a marker because for drug use

A lot of counterfeit money around here in Michigan.

It's because you have bad credit.

Its like... they pull that currency pen checker out as if saying "We don't trust your money" and I pull the same thing and ask them to check the currency they give to me back in change with their pen, and they always give me an evil look.

I simply tell them, If you don't trust what I give you to pay, why should I trust you to what you give me back as change....so check MY change also...

My friend in retail say's they are trained to check people's 20's if they look like dirt bags.

I check bills. I dont use the pen there unreliabl. I have never had anybody as for the change checked. The good fakes get passed around, the idea is the guy passing it doesnt know its not real.

I even had one clerk asking me why I paid cash. I told her that I don't use credit cards or debit cards. I don't believe in them. She just look at me like I was crazy!

Hell, the interest rates on most credit cards are 20% or more.

By the time you have paid off your charges, you will have paid more than 10 TIMES what you charged on it or more! Its is a complete scam and ripoff!

Well, the way I understand it is that if the ink is yellow on the bill, it is legit, if it turns black, then the bill is fake.

Money is created out of Cloth, not paper. So the pen is designed to detect paper, it turns black on paper, so that is how the pen works. Cloth absorbes the ink turning it yellow or light brown, and paper doesn't absorb the ink, turning it black, which indicates fake currency.

Oh fuck yeah.....when making deposits in bank and they start checking to see if my money is real I do the same to them....let me get my pen...ref the serial number of each note and have your Manger sign it and you witness and initial it.....let's all go full retard together

I also have them bite the quarters and dimes to see if they are real.

Actually, it only turns black on cheap paper. It's not about textile content, but the presence of impurities.
