She was ran over and dragged 30 yards at the age of 12, suffering traumatic brain damage. She awoke finding her self described "true self" which was a boy. Then, put into a mental institution where she was impregnated and released at the age of legality, finding herself on a hippy compound in 1973. I listened to her a few months ago on a WTF Podcast, it was very personal and tragic on levels I can not describe in words.
