If a critical fact about a pres. candidate is blocked from being communicated, that makes election void ?

If a government and/or candidate blocks information about a pres. candidate that would affect the outcome of an election, wouldn't the election be void if the guilty candidate won ? Or perhaps the guilty candidate would simply be in jail for that one crime, election rigging.
