Fuck that nutrisweet shit.

When I went back to collage in 1984, There was and advertisement in the Biology dept. to help with a food study.

I checked it out and they told me that it was minimum wage and I had to kill and dissect test rats. this was a study on a new sweetener, Aspartame. I needed the money, and it seemed like decent work. Remove the organs, bag em and tag em and send to the freezer for further analysis. I did about 150 rats. They had a LOT more in the study that others worked on.

Well, I ended up doing part of the group of rats that got the aspartame. They gave them the equivalent of drinking about 24 cans of soda a day. I know that is a lot, but they do that routinely in studies.

The inside of those rats was a sorry state. Almost all the livers I removed were ulcerated, dark, and bleeding. Kidneys were smaller than normal. all the other organs were discolored slightly or abnormal size. Only the hearts looked normal.

The results of that study ended up never seeing the light of day.

I never drank a diet drink after that until they came out with Splenda.

I will never touch that poison. Nope. no way.

Sodas/soft drinks are gross. Why would you want to drink anything with an overly sweet taste? It's not only the artificial sweetener, HFCS or even sugar that's bad but the acidity of the stuff which eats up your innards.
