CNN Projection (ignore FANTASY)

Unlike CNN, we did dig deeper. We removed the heavy weight of Democrat respondents from polling results, then we looked at primary turnout and early voting statistics. When these data points are combined we got a much different picture.

In Florida, for example, Hillary Clinton obtained more votes than Trump in the primary.

Florida Primary Votes:

Hillary Clinton – 1,097,400
Donald Trump – 1,077,221
This stat is often cited by MSM pundits to provide credibility to their flawed findings. What they don’t explain is the overall party primary votes cast.

Florida Primary Votes by Party:

Democrats – 1,702,878
Republicans – 2,355,183

That’s a 500,000+ vote advantage right out of the gate. Granted, we can’t assume all of those Republicans will turn out and vote for Trump. But there are some assumptions we can make and those assumptions don’t help Clinton.

Now look at the latest Bloomberg poll for Florida. Unlike most polls the MSM uses, Bloomberg actually properly weighted their sample universe by party.

Bloomberg Results:

Hillary Clinton – 43%
Donald Trump – 45%

What Bloomberg can’t tell us is where the majority of Independents will end up on election day. But they did include a healthy sample of Independents in the poll with an equal number of Republicans and Democrats. The results show Trump with a slight lead.

Additionally, the Democrat Party has waved the white flag on the Florida Senate race. Marco Rubio is highly likely to win with a comfortable margin. And Rubio’s command of the southern Florida vote should lend tremendous help to Trump’s efforts in that part of the state.

We looked at several polls, corrected their weighting methodology, looked at early voting data and came to the conclusion that Donald Trump has the edge.

We found the same in states like North Carolina and Arizona, two states the MSM has written off for Clinton.

Furthermore, when looking at the same landscape for states like Ohio, Colorado and Pennsylvania, we don’t find enough evidence to suggest Trump is in the lead. But we also cannot find enough evidence to suggest Clinton has those states locked up. CNN has written off both Pennsylvania and Colorado for Clinton, two states we believe can go either way.

With all of that said, the following is where we believe the landscape would be if the election were being held today. This could certainly change between now and then, of course, but right now this is what our data has us comfortable with.

The people vote is a gratuity. Means nothing really.

If the General vote means nothing.. why would Trump be vehemently campaigning non-stop in multiple counties in every state? His staffers, and himself, must think it's important?

In Virginia, anyone that is able to vote can be a candidate for electoral college, at least that's how I understand it.

in the "Presidential Race" you have to play the game
in order to get to the final level to finesse the finish.

The electorial college is also designed to upturn a popular vote based on the idea that the electorate is Learned and knowledgeable. We are a republic not a democracy.

This may be a time when the electorate would have valid cause to upturn a trump vote for Hillary. The electorate will usually vote with the popular vote but they can overturn when they feel there is strong cause. To my knowledge nothing compels them to vote with the people but they usually do so.

As others have said this only happened 3 times in history.

2. Florida and Ohio

3. IA, NV, UT, AZ

4. CO or NH and the 1 EC vote from ME

Most states force the EC to follow the vote of the people I believe.

He needs to win Arizona, Ohio, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. If he gets all of those, he is in for sure. If he wins Pennsylvania, he could afford to lose one or two of the smaller states like Iowa or Nevada.
