Excellent idea.

How does it make any sense that a high ranking government official is even allowed to plead the 5th? Their job is to serve the people. There should be 100% transparency with everything except national security. The fifth is to protect from incriminating yourself correct? It should have no place in a trial about the administration from any individual.

Just as military men and women lose certain constitutional rights while serving, so should politicians and certain federal employees lose their right under the fifth amendment. There testimony is related to national security and should not be allowed to be buried under the fifth.

The thing about the 5th is it can only be used if a crime has been committed and you may be part of it....either directly or indirectly
