Re: can anyone explain this object going around the sun
It doesn't show a full rotation around the sun. If you watch the more distant stars you'll notice their speeds are quicker because of their distance are much further from the sun. While their distances are much further from the sun the star that you see in the footage is much closet to us than the distant stars. As earth rotates around the sun and the telescope rotates around the earth you will noticed that the star being viewed is sitting still white we orbit around the sun. I could be wrong, but I feel as it is just a star closer to our sun then the stars in the far background (allowing their positions to seem faster than the object closet to our sun which is being views in a fixed location. No need to worry chaps, it ain't nothing but a ball of gas trillion of lightyears away.

Hopefully it's an alien craft coming to destroy earth. This election shit is getting exhausting already.
Not intended to be a factual statement.

It is Mercury. Mercury was at superior conjunction on the 27th.
