Most of Russia's wealth comes from Gazprom...selling oil and gas into central and eastern Europe.

If the Saudi's and Qatar can get a direct pipeline into Europe, they will drive the Russian prices down and cripple them economically. AT THE SAME TIME...all that gas/oil sold by the Saudis and Qatar will be sold in US dollars...making the dollar stronger.

Assad said no to the pipeline because Russia is Syria's ally. To allow the pipeline to go through, would cripple his ally.

The other route takes it through Iranian territory and then comes the fight of who is going to control it...it is no secret that Iran and Saudi Arabia fucking hate each other...

It is about so much more than the pipeline. Start with the list of 7 countries that Wesley Clark revealed they were going to take down: Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Lebanon and Iran. As far as I am aware all 7 were not part of the BIS/IMF and other international ponzi schemes. Hamas shut them down in Lebanon and Russia has thus far shut them down in Syria. Iran remains the prize. Assad has said as much in a recent interview when he said that the Saudi and Israelis attacked first (via ISIS/Al Nusra/Al Qaeda) and then tried to shake him down after attacking. He did not mention the pipeline, but indicated that Iran was the prize and that if he abandoned Iran (and basically let them stage their attack from Syrian territory), they'd stop the war. This is more about some crazy Saudi/Israeli super state in the MENA theater. Of course weakening Russia and Iran is a major part of the agenda. But the pipeline is just a part of a bigger battle.
