Resettled Syrians Prefer Refugee Camps over This Predominantly Black St. Louis Neighborhood
St. Louis’ Northwest side, particularly Hodiamont Avenue has found itself at the center of controversy yet again, as it has garnered a reputation for poverty and crime over the years and deemed a war zone of its own by many natives of St. Louis.

Re: Resettled Syrians Prefer Refugee Camps over This Predominantly Black St. Louis Neighborhood
that's sad indictment :(

G-d spoke all these words, to respond:
"I am the Lord, your G-d,
Who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
You shall not have the gods of others in My presence.
You shall not make for yourself a graven image or any likeness which is in the heavens above, which is on the earth below, or which is in the water beneath the earth.
You shall neither prostrate yourself before them nor worship them, for I, the Lord, your G-d, am a zealous G-d, Who visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons,
upon the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me,
and perform loving kindness to thousands [of generations],
to those who love Me and to those who keep My commandments." ~ Exodus 20:1-6

"Woe to those who say of the evil that it is good and of the good that it is evil; who present darkness as light and light as darkness, who present bitter as sweet and sweet as bitter." ~Isaiah 5:20

"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Well, European countries are moving refugees into castles. Maybe they are expecting the U.S. to give them the White House. Oh wait, that's already happening.

What political party is in control in that neighbourhood, and how long have they been in power ?

Have they been in place long enough to sort these problems out ?

lol, I used to deliver pizza to Hodiamont Ave. all the time. I wouldn't say its a warzone.

It's a shitty area, but the article is clickbait.

The Syrians are experiencing culture shock. They go from a secular & free Syria to a country being destroyed by US-backed terrorist proxies, to a ghetto in Missouri in the US, the same country that spent billions destroying their country.

Quite the transition.

They are probably warning other refugees to choose a different area.

They are probably aware of the underground toxic burning nuclear waste at the landfill there too.
They want the same thing the blacks want secure peaceful vulnerable white neighborhoods to victimize.
Why is the hood the ghetto ? Because they make it that way !

The left has broken down the family structure in the black community to control them and they are using multiculturalism to breakdown the nation state.

The goal is the atomization of humanity. They want to destroy all racial, religious, national identities .....They”want to breakdown the family structure, bond between man and woman, between parent and child, and destroy gender differences, which turns people into nothing more than animals. They attack human nature itself.

The left wants individuals to stand before an all powerful state completely alone. Atomized..

They thought Syria was bad until they got to St. Louis.

That's why all this shit is such a farce.. living standards, exchange rates, Etc. The numbers are artificially propped up- the books are cooked.

Watch house hunters international sometime and look at the prices. America is flying downhill at such a rate that I think it even terrifies foreigners. Before you know it, the USA is going to be a fucking war zone like the warlord controlled areas of North and central Africa.

This country is fucking done.

Re: Resettled Syrians Prefer Refugee Camps over This Predominantly Black St. Louis Neighborhood
I used to live near this area during the 70's as a child. There were department stores. Businesses up and down the street selling everything. Especially MLK avenue.

There were big factories in St.Louis.Aerospace(Boeing and McDonnell Douglas). Big beer breweries,Purina and the list goes on.Downtown was booming too, with a big garment district. There were also car assembly plants and Monsanto.

The older people had jobs and could buy a house. When the older people retired, there were few young family members with jobs to carry on. That area had started with Jewish people there, than they ran away.

They even closed a successful White Castle joint because of drug selling. It was on Delmar Ave.

Supermarkets are kind of far without a car. But the Syrians can shop at some markets(Halal foods) on Grand Avenue. Delmar Loop is nice. There are a few nice areas going towards the airport. They can't put them in West county, because it is expensive.

Re: Resettled Syrians Prefer Refugee Camps over This Predominantly Black St. Louis Neighborhood
The bottom line is that most people want to live in the inner cities on hand outs; they want to be around the "action". In truth 90% of those people could relocate to the South and live a much better life in a more rural area, but people don't want that for the most part. They want the excitement of city life. There's thousands of forlorn little towns all over America these people could repopulate and revive, but they don't want to, they want to hang and chill on OPP.

Reading between the lines, I think what happened here is that someone in a position of some power did not want to accept Syrian refugees into St. Louis, but their arm was twisted by someone higher up to make them take in the refugees anyway. So... they took the refugees and stuck them in the worst neighborhoods in the city.
