Quoting: Agent FescadoAssume that the dates have been set and the orders given, for combined assault on Iran spearheaded by Israeli tactical neutron bombing. What terms do you think the major powers are negotiating to prevent an all too easy escalation into WWIII? All or nothing!! |

At first pop, US-Russia may be launch on warning. Let's hope some negotiations are in play. Quoting: Agent FescadoThe Bush Admin. wants escalation. They have no intentions of allowing agreements to be made. They have no intentions of allowing agreements to be made. Quoting: 2XSecretAgentThey want Iran and North Korea dealt with.. not a full escalation with Russia and China, which would be the result of reckless war-planning. *yar har fiddley dee plunder the market 'cause a pirate is free* |
2XSecretAgent User ID: 164883 United States 01/24/2007 02:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There may be some negotiation meetings going on, but I believe Bush has definately shown that he will not offer any consessions. If there is to be an agreement, it will have to come from Iran. Quoting: Cosmic CuckooIran has nothing to gain by making concessions and nothing to lose by refusing to make concessions. I forget who was saying this - whether it was in an article or in an interview I heard - but we have nothing Iran wants or needs. They do not have to do anything the Bush Admin wants or demands. Agent Fescado (OP) User ID: 164710 United States 01/24/2007 02:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The negotiations aren't to prevent the war against Iran (that has already been decided), but for the de-escalation. Would the West allow Israel to be overrun? Would Russia invade or launch on Israel... Knowing the scenario, would it be in Russia's best interest to pre-empt and strike America/Israel before hostilities open against Iran? *yar har fiddley dee plunder the market 'cause a pirate is free* |
Cosmic Cuckoo User ID: 2048 United States 01/24/2007 02:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is no way to de-escalate the violence. Once Russia or China comes to Iran's defence it will be "no holds barred". I agree with Agent 2X that this is exactly what the Bush administration wants. The Military/Corporate economy demands it. They are wanting to return to the "good ole days" of the cold war. The real problem is that you can't go back in time and you can't expect the same reactions to a similar enviroment. I truly believe this time the world and the US citizens will not take this manipulation sitting down. There will be many revolts. It will not be an escalation into WWIII, as much as a revolution.
