Protests grew tense on Saturday and Sunday in Mt. Greenwood as anti-police-violence activists and Blue Lives Matter protesters demonstrated opposite one another after an off-duty Chicago police officer fatally shot Indiana man Joshua Beal.
Police said in a release that an off-duty firefighter approached Beal’s vehicle on Saturday around 3 p.m. because his car was blocking a fire lane. Two nearby off-duty police officers stepped in after a fight broke out, and “shots were fired striking the individual multiple times,” police said.

Mt. Greenwood is a nice area. Your right south Chicago is way down east on 87th. Technically though my. Greenwood is the southwest side but I know no one says that.

Just drove by the area, of 111th and kedzie. There is a lot of police and protesters to counter any BLM protesters. It was nice to see that turn out and them standing up to BLM.

Was going to video it but didn't want the 175 dollar ticket for using the phone while driving.
