What happens in the extremely unlikely scenario the Electoral College goes rogue?
12/16/16

They'll do it, meeting in their respective states, on December 19th. The outcome is a foregone conclusion, but there is room, however small, for a surprise: an uprising, as called for by some Democrats and even some Republicans, of "faithless electors."
None of the electors are constitutionally bound to follow the will of the people they represent, and so in this bizarre election (and post-election) season, an arcane system that was established at the Constitutional Convention of 1787 could -- and this is very unlikely, but could legally -- go rogue and potentially deny Trump the presidency.

Facing a wave of calls, Pa. electors sounding unshakable
12/17/16

HARRISBURG - Thousands of emails land in their inboxes every day. Copies of the Federalist Papers and other books urging political courage are being mailed to their homes. They are even getting phone calls in the middle of the night.

Such has been the life of Pennsylvania's 20 electors for President-elect Donald Trump since the Nov. 8 election.

Protesters, Trump supporters converging on Augusta for Electoral College vote
12/16/16

While the vote takes place, one group will protest outside the State House in hopes of swaying the fourth elector away from Trump. The December 19 Coalition – a network that includes Democracy Spring, Americans Take Action, the Electoral College Petition and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee – is trying to organize similar events in all 50 states. Because Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, they argue the Electoral College should reject Trump in her favor.

In response, the Maine Republican Party has planned a rally and march from its office on Higgins Street. The participants will surround party Chairman Rick Bennett, an Oxford Resident and the Electoral College elector for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Bennett has said he intends to follow the “expressed will” of the voters in casting his ballot for Trump, who defeated Clinton in the 2nd Congressional District.

Despite protest, electors ready to vote for Trump
12/17/16

At 2 p.m. Monday, 29 loyal Republicans will gather in the newly remodeled Florida Senate Chamber in Tallahassee to officially cast Florida's presidential votes for Donald Trump. Unlike most Florida elections, there is zero suspense about the outcome, but like most Florida elections, plenty of drama nonetheless.

Electoral College set to make Trump's win official
12/18/16

Washington (CNN) The 538 members of the Electoral College are set on Monday to make President-elect Donald Trump's victory official.

In all 50 state capitals and the District of Columbia, electors -- chosen by the state parties of the candidate who carried their state, Trump or Hillary Clinton -- will meet to cast their ballots. The gatherings will remove the last bit of drama from 2016's unprecedented election season -- and post-election efforts to persuade Republican electors to vote against Trump, in some cases in violation of state laws requiring electors to support the victor.

At least two protests are planned before the electors head to the Georgia State House on Monday to cast their votes.

One protest will be held on Sunday, starting at 4 p.m., a candlelight vigil at the Georgia State House. The organizers of the event have promised dozens will show up to protest the event.

Another, part of a more widely organized, nationwide event, is planned for Monday starting at 9 a.m. It is slated to take place at the state house as well.

Insiders: Electoral College won't block Trump
12/19/16

“This whole notion of a faithless Electoral College is an anti-Trump fantasy,” an Iowa Republican added. “That said, one or two could vote against Trump and for Hillary or someone else. As uncomfortable as I am with a Trump presidency, I'd be far more uncomfortable with the precedent of a wild Electoral College that simply dumps 200-plus years of history and decides on their own to invalidate the voters' will.

About 13,000 military personnel will be on hand to provide support at next month's presidential inauguration, according to a new report.

The Jan. 20 event will include roughly 5,000 active-duty service members and approximately 8,000 National Guard members, The Military Times said Monday.

The National Guard members hail from more than 40 states and U.S. territories, with some coming from as far away as Guam, according to the Times.

Trump protesters plan to open 'movement house' in Washington DC
12/20/16

A group of millennial activists from across the country plan to open a “movement house” in Washington DC next month, which will serve as a permanent base to protest Donald Trump’s presidency.

The organizers are mostly women of color, many of whom campaigned for Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary.

The house, which will be set up by inauguration day on 20 January, has been dubbed “District 13”, in a reference to a rebellious neighborhood in the Hunger Games books and films.

Who is really behind Disrupt J20
12/9/16

We’ve heard the anti-American douche-bag, Michael Moore, calling for the Donald Trump inauguration to be disrupted on January 20, 2017. The question now becomes, “who, how many, and what will they attempt to do?” Unfortunately for Moore, this is his day of reckoning. Is he really an inspirational activist or is he just another left-wing liberal blowhard? We are about to find out! (side note; I’m betting on blowhard)

Reports vary, but most are saying that Moore and the other radical activist are calling for 1,000,000 of their multi-colored haired kooks to show up, protest, start a riot (if they can), and frighten Donald Trump off the inaugural stand.

If you’re not one that hangs out on Twitter very often, you probably have not seen the hashtag for the organization who is apparently behind this “wannabe” massive protest against Donald Trump’s inauguration. #DisruptJ20 is the leftist loons most recent attempt at anarchy. At first glance; you might think this is another one of George Soros latest concoctions. However, it is not. This one, believe it or not, is the brainchild of the LGBT Community. According to this article from the Canada Free Press, it is the peaceful, loving and all encompassing gay community who are organizing leftist whacko’s to become violent (if need be) to stop the inauguration.

Around a dozen protest groups are looking for a plot of land to call their own on the big day. DisruptJ20 wants Lafayette Park — as does anti-war group ANSWER. Real Progressives wants Meridian Hill Park, and People's Action wants the Washington Monument Grounds. D.C. Action Lab, the Progressive Independent Party and a host of individuals also applied for permitted protest spaces.

Trump Inauguration Security Planners Brace for Wave of Protesters
12/27/16

WASHINGTON — Security surrounding the inauguration of Donald J. Trump is proving to be the most challenging in recent history, according to senior officials involved in its planning, largely because of the same forces of political rancor that shaped the race for the presidency.

On top of the daunting threats to any inaugural ceremony, the three dozen agencies responsible for security at the Jan. 20 festivities are preparing for the possibility of large numbers of protesters flooding the capital, along with what may be nearly a million supporters of Mr. Trump.

Preparation under way for Trump inauguration, protests expected
12/28/16

Presidents Bush and Obama faced their own threats of terrorism, and in the case of the current president, racist threats.

However the kind of protests officials expect Trump will face pose a considerable threat when compared to that of the crowd of two million who attended Obama's inauguration. There were few protesters among this crowd, and not a single arrest, said Christopher Geldart, the director of homeland security for the District of Columbia to The New York Times.

This inauguration, law enforcement on the ground are preparing to confront the angry, anxious crowds seen on the campaign trail in the lead up to Trump's election. The priority is to avoid violent clashes, while allowing groups of both protesters and supporters to hold their events.

I may actually be participating in this event as an aid volunteer, just waiting for confirmation. What a great perspective for yours truly, eh?

Since the Left failed in it's attempt to keep 2017 from happening, thus preventing the Trump inauguration, they only have 20 days left to come up with something new.
Protests, boycotts, walk-outs, time travel...nothing seems to be working for them so far.
Less than 3 weeks to go....what desperate trick will they pull next?
