Anyone else notice the moon sideways tonight?
OK, I was looking at the moon earlier and noticed it was sideways and very bright. Now I can not find it and the sky is very clear. There were a couple of other posters that noticed this also. And NO I am not on drugs, drunk, or crazy........ok, maybe crazy......I do have kids!

You are absolutely right. TPTB are moving it willy nilly wherever they please, whenever they please.

Because of this the mechanism that keeps it right side up is completely out of wack.

Because the US is nearly bankrupt because of all the concentration camps that have been built along with all the new guillotines; we just don't have the cash to fix the damn thing.

Would YOU care to donate something?

Yes, the Moon was exceptionally bright, but I'm not sure if that is just a normal thing. Maybe we should start studying the Moon together. Hell, there's probably a website out there somewhere that records a picture of the Moon every day. I'll see what I can find.

Then why don't you seriously study the moon and it's movements. Then you will understand why it looks a given way at a given time.

These "the moon is in the wrong place, looks strange, etc." threads get to be a little tiresome after a while.

I noticed to that the moon disappered tonight even though there were no clouds. It was there one minute looked back up and wasn't. I know you would just think clouds but it was so clear. Then I saw this thread and thought I had thought how weird it was and so had other people. Kinda strage.

Hey OP, check out this thread about weird moon stuff:

[link to www.godlikeproductions.com]

As of now nobody was able to give an explanation for what happens with that. I planned to see what happens, but the sky was clouded.

Re: Anyone else notice the moon sideways tonight?
A little experiment for all you new moon watchers to try. Find out when the moon is approaching full, and a couple of days before start watching it from when it rises, and at hourly intervals until its sets (or for as long as you can). Observe its orientation each hour, if possible use binoculars as the features will be much clearer. Do this for say five days.

What you will observe is that the moon appears to rotate in a clockwise direction at a constant rate from moonrise to moonset. The moon isn't actually rotating, but because the earth is rotating, it gives the illusion that the moon is.

I'm not an astronomer, I just noticed this many years ago, did the above experiment, and then found out why.

Just found this info and wanted to share. Might be they are trying to correct whatever is causing the moon to be out of natural orbit. [link to www.geekologie.com]
