Re: POOL PARTY! --Presented by The Esoteric Friends for Gaia (EFG). + 1 Beast for ambience
I came across something I love this morning while having my coffee:

stagandunicorn

The Alchemical Marriage of the Stag and Unicorn
"Even back in the middle ages, when alchemists mixed metals in hope to make gold. The unicorn stood for mercury and the stag sulfur. But it wasn't just about metals, it also had the psychological meaning of uniting opposites (and bringing change in the process).

Most stories use this as a plot device, mixing characters with completely different personalities and taste. Or placing a character in an opposite situation. Change doesn't happen overnight, but through stages. And in alchemy each stage has its animal: crow (breaking down of old structures), swan (emotional cleansing), green lion (reclaiming the true self), unicorn (integration of the feminine), stag (integration of the masculine), phoenix (rebirth of personality), and ouroboros or snake eating its tail (integration of the shadow self and union of opposites).."
--Sophie Qui

That's lovely.
You could have a custom ceramicist make one either as a series or as a wall plate/plaque. Im sure can find someone in your area. Those services are available online as well, but I find using local artisans is better and somehow more satisfying.

I like the overall style...lol..somehow it reminds me of Josef Franc, one of my favorite textile artists.

I absolutely LOVE the piece of artwork with the stag and unicorn. I really want to see if I can find a large print for the wall behind the bed. The piece is so perfect for us LOL. The stag is even in a suit and the unicorn in bootie heels. Amazing. The Franc textiles are so bright and gorgeous. I love big bold colors. I did art history in university and thought maybe of opening a gallery way back then when I was a downtown hipster kid. ;-)

Blackberry whiskey! I'm not a big drinker contrary to everyone thinking I'm always loaded on champagne and I almost never drink hard liquor unless Merit turns it into an Irish mule or some girly cocktail for me but blackberry whiskey sounds AMAZING. Kind of reminds me of the plum brandy my family is always drinking.

We missed our Friday night Niamh toast! She was not around to throw her cups at us.

Did you guys see the Kentucky Derby puppy derby? They looked like this. Speaking of Derby, did anyone watch? My new favorite horse is the one named Thunder Snow who took one look at the mud and was like "Nope! Not today!" Haha! Did you guys see him? He just refused to run and tried to buck off his jockey. No injuries. He was just being an asshole. It was hilarious.

Hi Merit hi

I ran across this article few days ago and have been thinking about it.
Will there be, or is there, recourse to this type of technology ? The potential for mass human control is, in my mind, breathtaking and frightening . Can a human develop their consciousness enough to overcome it? The control.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask this in. Lol Im not making a thread about it because I wont be able to attend to it.

Thank you

He got a little busy this week with work stuff and especially the last couple days but I'll mention this to him. He'll be busy for a few more days.

Edit because I couldn't find the banned word in this next part and I had to edit this in:
I just finished reading a novel called Zeroes called some of you may enjoy. It was a little too graphic for me at the end but the first 3/4s was fascinating. It has to do with A.I and the human brain and cyber stuff. Not the type of book I'd normally go for but it was on a table at the book store and I grabbed it and it was a good story.
[link to www.goodreads.com (secure)]

Edit again:
The phrase " reading book" changed to Sh*p supporter. LOL I don't even wanna know who that is or what the backstory is but okay, good to know not to type that!

hi Mila, LJS, AG, SugarSand, Merit, Everyone :)

Just stopping in to drop this off , I went to New Orleans City Park again yesterday and this time got a picture of the blue rose sculpture that made me think of tandy because of her avatar. I mentioned it last time I was there but didn't get a picture then but wanted to share it with you all this time.

Hope everyone's weekend has been invigorating hf

AG yes its going to be challenging with the container gardening but so far it is working.

Jean and Ag , my Mom listened to Patsy Cline and she is not on my radar as far as music goes lol , so you can understand why I said what the heck but glad it brought good memories for you both.

Jean , thank you for that picture... it made my third eye pop. Intense stimulation center of the brain. Great job!!

Plum brandy? I like that idea. Hmm! Maybe Ill try that someday. :-)

Lol I also found the last bottle of plum wine my Dad made many years ago...I drank a couple little glasses of that the previous weekend in memory of him. He also used to make tomato wine....sounds funny and awful, but boy was that the best; delicate pink amber color but slighty sweet and a little on the heavy side. Mulled with cinnamon stick...just wonderful. Dandelion wine too--like sunshine champagne.

I really do not drink, but if I do, I actually pefer whiskey, then beer (with two shakes of salt in it) , in that order. Not sure what Niamh prefers, but I probably would be chucking glasses at y'all too lol!

Btw...I love the short booties with the turquoise beaded top! Lol the other ones you could probably rock really well!!! Not me..im too *cough* mature. Hahaha
Did you get them?

Just found this awesome coffee table base on Ebay for a song:

Will be great with the pair of sofas I just picked up also for a song:

Hickory Chair is a good brand, solid construction. You got them at an awesome price...seriously.
Because they are cream linen, get them treated (sealed) though im sure you will...with kids and husband around , you'll be glad that you did!
 Quoting: AGrass

Oh yes, I will have the fabric protected. This will not be the primary lounging sofa -- that is a Henredon 18 ft diameter half circle sectional that will be in the game room. It is currently covered in a dark chocolate colored mohair velvet, but i will have it recovered in an onyx mohair velvet after the move. I picked it up after the housing market crashed for $1200 -- it was a $15,000 sofa :)

I alway buy high quality furniture, and then have it recovered as needed. I plan to keep most pieces forever.

As I was looking west through some dark clouds in the evening sky, my wife and I saw cursive writing, even and clear.

"bose" ,then "ose" because the "b" kind of fizzled away.

I now believe, although "bose", is just an 80's sound system.

Happened last Saturday.

Re: POOL PARTY! --Presented by The Esoteric Friends for Gaia (EFG). + 1 Beast for ambience
Posting this here.
As I was looking west through some dark clouds in the evening sky, my wife and I saw cursive writing, even and clear.

"bose" ,then "ose" because the "b" kind of fizzled away.

I now believe, although "bose", is just an 80's sound system.

Happened last Saturday.

Maybe it was rose, not bose?

Just found this awesome coffee table base on Ebay for a song:

Will be great with the pair of sofas I just picked up also for a song:

Hickory Chair is a good brand, solid construction. You got them at an awesome price...seriously.
Because they are cream linen, get them treated (sealed) though im sure you will...with kids and husband around , you'll be glad that you did!

Oh yeah, this reminds me I was gonna ask you guys. What do you like to use for fabric protector to protect against spills?

That is an awesome deal. I love good deals. I love the moment you buy something obscenely expensive for a fraction of the price. I literally get the girly feels. LOL
