October (OP) User ID: 181509 United States 01/30/2007 04:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi JCD! Hi Dil! I use sunflower seed oil... Being a poor artist type I just got what was cheapest at the grocery store. It was sunflower oil which is one of the recommended oils. So that was all right. :) It doesn't taste awful at all, JCD! The oil I'm using is very light and almost tasteless. I thought I'd have that problem as well, so I was pleasantly surprised, lol! Dil, the oil does remove toxins. I believe that the oil dissolves the fat-soluble poisons, and gets mixed with your saliva... Then you spit it out. It doesn't actually seem like it would do much, but boy I'm impressed!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 189011 United States 01/30/2007 04:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am a recent convert to the practice of 'oil pulling'. I started swishing seseme seed oil through my teeth first thing in the morning when I first arise. The way I feel is amazing. I feel so much more energetic and the fog in my head is gone. Yes also my teeth look whiter and healthier. BTW, I'm a 51 year old woman. I'm also having less problems with my joints. Thanks October for starting this thread. Joy |

I'm almost 55 and my bones hurt, lol. I noticed after awhile, that I wasn't taking as many pain pills as usual... It's supposed to have all sorts of amazing effects. I've only been using it for a few weeks, and I have a lot of chronic problems. Originally, I was just going to use the oil until the bottle was done. I thought that would be a fair enough trial, lol! Tomorrow, I'm getting my 2nd bottle... I think that after several months I'm going to be feeling extremely healthy!! |

October (OP) User ID: 181509 United States 01/30/2007 04:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I tried this already before but I swooshed it much too short obviously and wasn't very consequent. Quoting: Dil 51202I'll for sure will give it another try October! Yes Dil, give it another try. You can work your way up to the length of time, and the amount of oil. Some people are swishing 2 or 3 times a day, with excellent results. That's what I intend to do as well. I've had these results just doing it once a day; I want to see what happens when I really try and do it properly. I missed a few days here and there, but I never went more than 1 day without swishing. I'm looking forward to it... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 189011 United States 01/30/2007 04:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm almost through my 2nd bottle and plan to continue this therapy for the rest of my life. I also find that since doing this my appetite has decreased so maybe this will also help those that need to shed a few pound to have a decreased appetite. Joy Hi Joy... LOL Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10903Don't swallow!! The oil will be full of horrible toxins and crap. The last thing you want is to put that back in your system, eh! Some people spit in the toilet, others use the sink... But definitely...spit, lol! |

October (OP) User ID: 181509 United States 01/30/2007 04:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | is coconut oil on the list? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 154126ive been wanting to start taking some of that for the health benefits can anyone make a list of acceptable oils? i am a firm believer in using healthy oils As far as I know, you can use different oils. I read the other day where a couple of people were saying that they had excellent results with olive oil. I bought coconut oil first. I took a spoonful of that and spit it out immediately! It was horrible! It's almost solid, so it was like taking a spoonful of lard into my mouth! But I found the sunflower oil...it works great for me. I'm thinking of trying olive oil because of what was reported... If nothing else, I KNOW the sunflower works. I think I'll be doing the same thing Joy. I have no problem with doing this longterm. The results so far are very encouraging. |

mercury2 User ID: 189008 Norway 01/30/2007 05:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went to the dentist last week and they were so impressed with the improvement in my gums. They said it was a 100% turnaround from last March. I am not sure why my gums are so much better, it could be a lot of things. But one thing I have been doing occasionally is taking Oil of Oregano diluted in olive oil, and when I do that I hold it in my mouth and swish it around. I don't do that every day but have been doing it on and off. I wonder if that could have contributed to the improvement. I do a lot of other things for my health too, and went part time in my job last July, they said the reduction in stress could be a lot of it too ( I guess I haven't stressed out too much about not having any money as a result, lol). |
Dil User ID: 51202 Austria 01/30/2007 05:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This sounds like crackery, as usual. But hey--it IS GLP where a bunch of hypochondrifuckingacs hang out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3446So--pray tell...where DO you find the time to spend TEN TO FIFTEEN FUCKING MINUTES swishing OIL around in your mouths?!?!?!?!? This sounds like the biggest bunch of bullshit I've ever heard. Think I'll make a call to Dr. Dean Edell--he knows about all this crackpot crap. Don't do it yourself OK? It could smash your pitiful false beliefs. |

Multi-tasking, eh! Don't knock it if you haven't tried it! |

*~BLUE DOLPHINS~* User ID: 189001 United States 01/30/2007 05:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi October, I wish you well also ! I have a question, do you have mercury amalgam fillings? I have ALOT of them, and have considered having them replaced with ceramic, but in some teeth, they are so overstuffed with the amalgam, only a shell of the original tooth is left and it would be impossible to remove the filling without destroying what's left of the tooth...... what kind of impact do you think pulling would have on the toxic mercury ? Could it nuetralize it maybe ? That site did not mention this factor .... what are your thoughts ? Thanks ! ~What the caterpillar fears as death, the Master welcomes as Butterfly~ |
October (OP) User ID: 181509 United States 01/30/2007 06:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm not sure. That topic was mentioned, but I didn't pay too much attention. Most of the teeth that had fillings have already been pulled. I have noticed though, that one molar which does have the 'silver' filling is the one tooth that doesn't seem to be improving... That's a good question and I'm sorry, but I have no idea, lol! It just might be wise to check it out...! |

NRG User ID: 2534 United States 01/30/2007 06:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm on my 4th day of OP. If you can make it to a health food store, use Hain cold pressed oil. I use sunflower. The first day was amazing. Meditation has taken on a new level immediately. Much more lucid. Also, expect to go through an intensification of any symptoms you might have had prior to the treatment as this is part of the detox healing going on. My mouth feels so much cleaner, appetite is a real appetite as your metabolism is increased. By doing this for just a few days, I feel I've raised my vibration considerably already. I've told everybody I know but want to see what the long term effects will be. This is the real deal. I would think that OP will remove any toxins created by mercury fillings, although cilantro will remove heavy metals effectively. |
