Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73490803 . Oh Absolutely, that is where they make their money. The Bankers did not go along with the student loan program to help this nation. They did it to help themselves Just like Goldman Sachs shorted their own clients they were supposed to be working for. They are Money Worshipers and Money Changers |

BrokenTech User ID: 51566510 United States 11/26/2016 08:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Need to learn how to play the system. Unless you are getting a degree in a field that actually has the potential to repay the money you will struggle. Stay away from these college "programs" all they do is suck you into some fucked up liberal arts degree that has a very slim chance of being payed back relatively easily. In my opinion, pay as you go. Once you graduate highschool, go get a job and pay for classes as you take them. You cut out all that interest completely. It may take a little longer but that is a trade off the individual will have to decide on their own. College is not for everyone, and depending on what trade you wish to learn, even unnecessary. Certain fields you can do vo-tech and not have to take out a 80,000 dollar loan to do it. One does not need to take out 80,000 dollar loan to learn how to be an electrician, for example. But these people that go some sort of liberal arts degree for 80,000 dollars are screwed. This system is designed solely to put young people in debt over their heads right out of the gate. I graduated with an Electrical Engineering Degree about 30 years ago and paid off the loans a long time ago. It was a heck of a lot cheaper then, than it is today as well. That does not preclude me from seeing the scam being placed on our younger generations by the financial sector that is infested in our government. It was the Banking Lobbyists that caused the 2008 crash from their toxic instruments and they will also be the cause for the student loan crash. They never take any responsibility for their policies that the write and pass off to their puppet politicians When the government is not doing something to theri desired taste, they storm DC and demand it be stopped When Derivatives were going to be regulated, about 30 Big Wall Street Bankers stormed DC and put a stop to it They have never stormed DC in regards to the easy loans made to homeowners nor the student loans because they were behind it every way because there was a lot of money to be made The Student Loan crisis looming is but one more hurricane coming our way brought by the banking lobbyists and there will be more to come because they are always looking for new avenues to rape others |

The classroom is now on the Internet at a fraction of the cost of a real classroom. And its better. Miss something? Not a problem, move the slider back a little. Need to watch again a week or month later? Not a problem. Its all self study these days.... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69914202 I do not totally disagree with that, but you can only learn so much from a book. At some point, one has to actually get their hands dirty and see first hand the reality of how things actually work. I think that is what gives some of these millennials a bad attitude. They may have succeeded in doing the book part of it but they have no practical experience in the real world. They seem to think that the book part is all there is to it, its not. I have got jobs over millennials many times, simply due to my 20+ years experience. The millennials get pissed because they feel I took their job and they have a 4 year degree and I do not. Its just that the employer realizes that I know how the stuff operates in the real world, it comes down to simply hands on experience. Not what I read in a book. Not what I read in a book. most of the Cisco guys buy their own routers and switches and set up their own networks. search on TechExams forum and you'll see what I'm talking about. |

I have done the same, except I have always got them for free. When new equipment came in, I swapped out the old with the new and took the old home, with the employers permission of course. Set up my own network and I can break/fix it all the time. Thats how I learned my trade, not by sitting in a classroom. I am a network engineer and sys admin, and have done well for myself. Without a degree. Last Edited by BrokenTech on 11/26/2016 09:08 PM |
