I wouldn't have ever had a kid if I didn't ever marry. My childhood friend became a single mom at 21 on purpose, just picked a guy who she wanted the baby to look like. Don't think she even told him, didn't want a father involved, she wasn't looking to use him beyond sperm donor. Then she came out as gay after, so that explains that.
