When I was in Glasgow, Scotland, all the 90 pound grown children wore scarves. Looked like cucksville. They also wore leggings and had muslim men punking them everywhere. But of course only when the weather outside actually justifies it. Any thing below about 50 degrees will do. Between 50 and 40 degrees a scarf and maybe a sweater. Below 39 degrees you're wearing the scarf around your neck and inside your jacket to keep your neck and lower face warm. Lots of guys will go out to lunch in a sport jacket, with a scarf around their chest and neck for extra warmth there. Those days where it's sunny but chilly too, are great days for a scarf. For a man, the scarf should be cashmere, or wool or a wool and silk blend. Darker colors or patterns are preferred. You do not want to wear something that looks like it belongs to your wife. While there are beautiful scarves for women - some are hand screened onto silk and yield a wearable work of art - and cost five hundred and up at Hermes or Chanel - a man's scarf should at least look like it's meant to keep him warm and not merely as a fashion accessory. NOTE: Lots of men's scarves are cut very short - if you're over 5'10" tall, you may have to look for an extra long one. Over six two and you definitely will need the longer versions. If they're too short they don't hang right and cannot be tied around your neck with any room to spare. So buy one that is long enough. Almost down to your waist on both sides when it's draped around your neck but not tied there. If it hangs more than 3 or 4 inches above your waist, it's too short. Always better a little longer than too short. |

BloodyMary User ID: 73476038 United Kingdom 12/02/2016 01:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm a women and , as it's so fkin cold here in the uk, I wear a scarf when walking the dogs. I had to bin one just a few days ago. Like immediately bin it. I bent down to pick up a doggy poo and the fringes of my scarf got caught up in the poo bag. YUCK........poo on my scarf. It went in the bin with the dog poo and I walked home with a cold neck. lol They fuck you up, your mum and dad. They may not mean to, but they do. They fill you with the faults they had And add some extra, just for you. But they were fucked up in their turn By fools in old-style hats and coats, Who half the time were soppy-stern And half at one another’s throats. Man hands on misery to man. It deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, And don’t have any kids yourself. Philip Larkin. |
