My take on the EU is that it was never going to work. Too many nations with too many age old views. Then along comes Merkle and other leaders who allowed the invasion. You know that invasion.

I just read a Financial Times (British mag) article on both of them and maybe the reason they're not getting a lot of attention in U.S. press:

1 - The Italy thing is complicated. They've had four PM's in 5 years, their economy is a mess and they've got lots of Syrian immigrants. But the referendum, itself, what it is and what it means, was hard to grasp.

2 - Austria was described as a contest between a Green and a Right-winger. The vote was scrapped twice, once for irregularities (hey Austrians cheat too?) and again for faulty glue on the mail-in ballots. Article pointed out that a rightwinger seemed crazy a year ago but now would be "just another domino" after Brexit and DJT.

Well.. I was planning on investing some serious money here.

Remember for the European people, the elections here also also rigged.
In my country a couple of years ago was an action of also an alternative thingy (wich i temporarily forgot the name off).
We could watch how people counted votes, but in Amsterdam a video popped up showing that those people were NOT WElCOME! To check the votes etc, wich means the whole counting system here is rigged!
So i can also say the same then for other countries in Europe, the only thing that saves Europe is a bloody revolution!
