Here's the thing about Canada compared to Russia.

- Canada has a GDP almost on par with Russia while having less than a qaurter of the population mother Russia has.

- Canada's natural resources are valued between 1-2 trillion USD. Far more than what Russia has. Canada's natural resouces are among the most valuable on Earth. Especially fresh water.

- Canada has diplomatic relations with almost every country on the planet. Russia, nope.

The only big swinging dick Russia has over Canada is its military. Canada spends far less on its military than almost any other industrialized nation. I think this speaks volumes on how Canada treats its own citizens rather than thinking about how it needs to defend itself. Being neighbours with the US helps as well.

Canada should never be underestimated when it comes to economic status and global trade. Canada is by far the bigger power in this regard compared to Russia. So in short, unless Russia wants to nuke us they can STFU.

Canada has far more economic power than most people realise. The US relies on trade with Canada more than Canada does.
