I have never understood why physical prepping and spiritual prepping should be exclusive. That is, in my opinion, a fairly recent ideal. It used to be that people prepared for winter, because they knew it could get pretty bad. It just makes common sense, given the recent ice storms, frigid temps, floods, big storms, etc etc.

In the country a generation or two ago, the farmers all had bulk food storage, those old root cellars, canned food, and the woodshed or coal bin was full before the first snow fall. A lot of them still do. Now that kind of behavior is consider aberrant and suspect, even really crazy.

A calm and warm heart which recognizes The Source of all good, and which spends time each day adding to the spiritual store house will provide for the hard times ahead. Those who have done no spiritual prepping will have a really hard time of it if things get bad. And there are storm clouds on the horizon.
