With Jesus we are only told to believe 100%. Then the holy spirit guides us. No work needed for salvation. Work is rewarded with blessing, and in heaven, and we are punished for bad works, sins. We are told that if "love" God, we will keep his commandments, but that is not a requirement for salvation. That's God's grace!
