How do I maximize profit in a stock collapse

Options or something that can't be screwed up by the government pulling some sort of bailout out of their ass overnight and ruining what I did.

Check the betas on various stocks. Short one with an extremely high beta, i.e. extreme volatility that far outpaces the average market volatility.

PUT OPTIONS . Bet against the market . Trick is funding the put until the collapse . If you are off , you go broke before you can cash in .


But If you have solid info you can own the earth with 100k

You need to look at the market as a whole.
One stock will just cause you to lose a crapload of $$$ due to volatility and missing the actual market due to outside forces acting on it.
You are trying to look at the whole forest....not individual trees.

Start learning about these.......
Maybe they will be easier for you than standard Futures Options.
They trade smaller lots too.

Good post OP, I have been thinking the same thing on the following premise:




The market is at unprecedented highs. As happy as everyone is about Trump, you still have at least 12,000 points on the DOW alone built on QE.


So I see two outcomes. They will keep it going under Trump but the highs will start to get really absurd.


Second, they let it drop or it drops by rising rates.


I think the ability to make a lot on the drop is there but not in broad index ETFs.

You can get a 500% drop in an individual stock for every 10% drop in the market.


So the question is....which stocks are set to plunge?

Another approach OP if you are still lost with Futures.

Inverse ETF's....market contrarians.

There you go! Take one of the ETF's, have to buy 200 shares though. That gives you a cross section of the market, or market segment.

FAZ or short the housing market through REK

Short the market, -but if you're wrong, you don't just lose money, you pay money.

Just be prepared to to take a pounding if it goes against your postions.... unless you are doing it with OPTIONS.
Options limit your risk exposure.

Money management, or lack thereof, plays a large role in making money or losing it.

Hint.......... (but you can do this with the other ETF's as well)
QQQ has more volume though....a better choice.

As much as i want to buy in to this, i think they will keep propping it up.

You can buy put options cheap cheap cheap if you want to bet way down big on a specific stock.


An option costs less the farther you bet away from its current price.


I am personally picking stocks that are more fad stocks than staples. For example, Walmart will not fall very much compared to lulu lemon because people will still need to go to walmart but the days of 100 dollar yoga pants will vanish right away causing a run on the stock.

There could be a correction, but there won't be a crash now.
Note the business and consumer optimism with Obama leaving office and Trump coming in.

Once the economy is kicked into gear again it will be self sustaining.
The markets are already showing signs of recognizing this.

Buy out of the money put options on a triple leveraged bull ETF.

You need to corer the street cleaning market around Wall Street.

When they start leaping you will get filthy and rich.

$35 strike on March 17, 2017 put options for UPRO (82.77) are around 30 cents

Don't do 3 months...find a put with a 6 month expiration. The price wont be much higher when the bet is that far out of the money (away from its current stock price).


I once did reallt well with a Call on Sprint 8 months out and after 5 softbank announced they wanted to buy them.

It will crash. No way the globalist allow trump to turn things around. They will burn everything to the ground and have people begging for the NWO
