"Scary" movies and satanic possession?

I have no proof of this but I just watched a weird commercial with occult symbols and pentagrams being released on Friday the 13th and now I'm wondering if there may be some kind of subliminal possession in these movies as they aren't scary at all. They are just plain fucking weird.
