Should I buy Essential Oils Starter Kit | |
Ms. Superduper User ID: 70651884 United States 12/31/2016 08:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't know if I am supposed to mention names or brands, but I have a friend who is selling these essential oils and is offering a special on a starter kit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71688810 I'm not that familiar with essential oils, but I am hearing stories (some sounding almost too good to be true) about them preventing colds, flu, etc.. not sure if that is by diffusing them or by applying to skin or what at this point. But I don't know whether to make the investment or not. Is it for real or is it a scam. And if you use them successfully, how do you use them? The special ends tonight, so I need to make a decision. Thanks for any GLP advice out there tonight. You should study out the essential oils and make sure you invest in some that are pure with no added chemicals of any kind. I get mine at the health food store. I started with one at a time and added to my collection. A lot of companies say they are "pure", but have added chemicals of some kind to them. You can tell by smelling them, if you have experience in the oils. Can't tell you what to do, but I wouldn't put down a bunch of money until I learned about the product. The really pure ones are awesome and have so many uses. I even make my own deodorants with these. Are they oils you enjoy the smell of? Holistically speaking as cures and what not you'd want to study up more on the oils you are getting for what they are useful for. I enjoy burning oil it's a cheap natural air freshener. To each there own on what they like, but i like to use Tea Tree, Lavendar, and Eucalyptus for burning. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73365329 United States 12/31/2016 08:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The first question is do essential oils work The second question is should you buy these for this special deal because they are a little pricey In my opinion when I tried essential oils they worked when nothing else did. Not only that but the lady actually donated them since I was broke In a nutshell I would say buy them. We waste money on so many things that this is something you actually would use. |

Different oils have different properties. Some will make you feel more awake and some have a more sedative effect. Some are antibacterial and others are pain relievers or anti inflammatory. Some raise blood pressure and rosemary can cause seizures in epileptic people. Just check contraindications before using them and also check if you have any pets and whether they could be affected. Cats can't process citrus oils like orange and lemon etc. Using them has definitely changed my life for the better. Good luck op |

It's called "HDclear" and it's for acne. I was incredibly skeptical. I mean, $67 for that?! But I'm a true believer, now. I have adult cystic acne and this stuff is amazing! It diminished existing acne within 24 hours and I have been acne-free since I started using it. That's been 4 months now. My teenage daughter keeps her skin clear with it, too. Just dot it on your skin and blend with your fingers. I'd recommend trying an oil for a specific purpose, using it, seeing if you'd find value in a kit. |

If you don't wanna be bugged to be selling MLM oils in the future and risk a friendship when you don't wanna be in EO sales...I'd look elsewhere for my oils. Here's some good info on EOs [link to draxe.com (secure)] Quoting: snark Thank you for the advice. the link you posted was very informative. |

I've spent thousands on treatments and this is the ONLY thing I've ever used that works. I don't even have a single blackhead now and my pores are almost invisible. Great stuff! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 73688106 United States 12/31/2016 09:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I use essential oils in my homemade liquid soaps. I make a Dr Bronner's knock off. I go to walmart to smell the essential oils, and then go home and order the ones I like from Ebay. Peppermint oil is great in my soap in the shower. Leaves my skin feeling cool. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 69118180 United States 12/31/2016 09:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No to a kit. You will get oils you have no use for. Just research and pin point what you need and when you need it. I use certain ones for certain things. I make toothpaste with coconut oil and baking soda (aluminum free) and add peppermint oil. I make a thieves oil to rub onto the bottoms of my feet when sick, does seem to help! start small and organic food grade for any possible. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 48501570 United States 12/31/2016 09:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Every corner health food store will carry NOW brand essential oils which are good, quality, pure oils. Not the best out there, but very good, and totally sufficient for most health applications. I use these all the time: Eucalyptus Oil -> sinus stuff, put some drops on a washcloth and hold near face, and breathe. Clove Oil -> sore tooth, use a little on open cuts to clean. Tea Tree Oil -> wonderful topical antibiotic, is okay to use on mucus membranes... so... you know where. Cinnamon Oil -> can be very irritating. Be careful... burns. But, I apply it to the bottoms of my (kids) feet when they have viruses. Neem Oil -> internally as "deep reaching" anti-biotic, anti-viral, and topically as same. Smells amazingly bad. There are many others that can be used for their scents in misters and massage oils... also as perfumes, but test before using on a big date night. My girlfriend is a massage therapist and uses young living brand for aromatherapy. She also uses them On herself and me if we start to feel sick... By mixing the oil in a carrier lotion and rubbing them into skin. She has volumes of medical books written about essential oils. I Haven't had a full on cold or flu in over 3 years. As soon as I start to have symptoms I take a treatment and then I'm better. I diffuse oils almost daily. Its much better than using chemical spray air fresheners.. and smells way way better than an incense or candle. Its so clean and pure smelling and definitely makes me feel good. |

If you are getting quality oils not the junk most stores sell.Which is water down. So does not work as well. The more pure the better. And are worth ever penny. A little research you should know if they are worth the price. Many people try to sell the low quality crap at the high quality price. So be sure to check the labels |
