On October 24, 2007, Comet 17PHolmes brightened dramatically by a factor of a million. Within 24 hours, it had gone from a small 17th magnitude comet to a magnitude of 2.5, easily visible with the naked eye. It wasn't finished its impressive display just yet though. Holmes kept expanding until by mid-November it had become the largest object in the solar system and had surpassed the Sun in volume. The diameter of the coma had grown from 28 thousand kilometres to 7 million km.
The diameter of Holmes' coma had grown by a factor of 250 and the volume had increased by a factor of 62 million to an impressive 180 quintillion (18 zeroes) cubic km. The volume is currently 5 times that of the sun. You might think that this remarkable behaviour would be big news, particularly among astronomers. A prominent Astronomy magazine recently published their top ten news stories of 2007. Surprisingly, this spectacular comet was not named as the top story. It didn't even finish in the top ten. In fact, the entire magazine completely ignored the comet. There was not even an editorial comment. Additionally, there was little if any newspaper or TV coverage. How could this be, you might wonder?
The standard model used to explain comets as dirty snowballs was concocted by Fred Whipple over fifty years ago. This theory has a very difficult time explaining Comet Holmes. After more than two months following the flare-up, the only explanations available on the internet are:
* Scientists speculate that the comet has an unconventional nucleus which periodically exposes certain amounts of its icey core to the sun, causing the explosion.
* The cause of the outburst is not definitely known. The huge cloud of gas and dust may have resulted from a collision with a meteoroid, or, more probably, from a build-up of gas inside the comet's nucleus which eventually broke through the surface.
* There is growing evidence that some comets and asteroids may have a porous internal structure akin to, say, swiss cheese or a honeycomb. Suppose one of the chambers of the honeycomb suddenly collapsed, exposing many square kilometers of fresh cometary ice to sunlight for the first time. A flurry of sublimation would ensue with mega-jets of dusty gas emerging from the sinkhole to create a cloud around the comet much as we see now.
The common thread of each of these explanations is that they don't really say anything constructive. The explanations are merely scientists' way of shrugging their shoulders whilst maintaining their snowball theory and justifying their exorbitant salaries. None of them hold up to the slightest bit of scrutiny.
* An explosion or collapse would be assymetrical, not the uniform, spherical envelope around the nucleus that is observed.
* An explosion could be expected to produce an assortment of fragmentary sizes, not just the fine dust that is observed.
* Typically, the duration of an explosion luminescence is less than a minute, not months. What explosion mechanism are they proposing that can luminate for months?
* Dusty gas would quickly disperse away from the comet, not persisting in a cluster for over two months.
Each of the mainstream theories has the nucleus providing the additional material for the coma. A quick density calculation will now challenge this core belief. Dimensions for the nucleus of the comet before the flareup are not known so we will generously assume an initial diameter of 50 km. It's current nucleus is 3.6 km in diameter. This difference in size would have provided 500,000 cubic km of material.
The density of asteroids is typically 3 to 5 grams per cubic centimetre. The density of water is 1 gram per cubic centimetre. The density of the nucleus should be somewhere between these values. We will again be generous and assume 5 grams per cubic centimetre. This would mean that the nucleus ejected an astonishing 3 quadrillion tonnes (15 zeroes) of material. However, spreading this mass over the extent of the enlarged coma would only result in a density of less than 2 grams per cubic km inside the coma.
How can such a diffuse substance cause the brightness to increase by a factor of 1 million? How can it even be visible from so far away? Just what exactly is lighting this thing up? It couldn't possibly be sunlight reflecting from such rarefied material. Now consider that they are suggesting that a few cubic km of gas were released into the coma rather than the 50 cubic km of solid rock that was assumed in the calculations. Their argument becomes even more ludicrous.
As difficult as the flareup of Holmes is for the dirty exploding snowball theory, scientists have not even attempted to explain how an "unusual nucleus" could flare up thrice in just over a hundred years. Back in 1892, it flared up twice within two and a half months. This is not the only comet that has been larger than the sun. The Great Comet of 1811 also expanded dramatically and was also larger than the sun. Its diameter reached 2 million kilometres and the tail was 160 million km in length, see Atlas of the Solar System, Patrick Moore & Garry Hunt . Other comets have also flared up, but not to the same extent. Although flaring comets may not be a common event, it still happens nonetheless and comprehensive explanations should be required of any cometary theory.
Is a better explanation available for this apparently bizarre behaviour? Wal Thornhill has repeatedly used the Electric Universe theory to successfully predict observations made by cometary missions that have stupefied mainstream astronomers at every turn. See his proven track record for both the Deep Impact and the Stardust missions.
A simple explanation for the comet using this electrical theory is that the coma and tail are the plasma sheath surrounding the nucleus and glowing in normal glow mode and the jets are electric arc discharges to the nucleus. The fine dust has been electrically machined off the surface of the comet by a process similar to the arc welding process that is commonly used by industry. See here for a more detailed examination of cometary theory. On October 24, the comet entered an area of a higher voltage differential which increased the extent of the visible discharge.
In a private email, Thornhill suggested that:
"Outbursts from comets at great distances from the Sun seem to be correlated with a sudden change in the solar 'wind' plasma environment due to a solar storm. The point about sudden comet outbursts is that we are dealing with a sudden, discontinuous process of plasma discharge - a switch from dark current mode to normal glow mode. It is a complex surface phenomenon that cannot be predicted. The best we can do is to say that the passage of a sudden change in the solar wind is the most likely time to see a flareup."
The sun had been electrically active in the days before the "explosion". Upon investigation of data from the ACE satellite, see this movie or this graph, Michael Mozina noticed that there was a large spike in the density of the solar wind on October 22 at 19:45, two days before the infamous flareup. This spike likely switched the comet into normal glow mode and allowed it to grow. Once in normal glow mode, the plasma coma does not require a sustained voltage to maintain that mode.
The idea that God is an oversized white male with a flowing beard who sits in the sky and tallies the fall of every sparrow is ludicrous. But if by "God" one means the set of physical laws that govern the universe, then clearly there is such a God. This God is emotionally unsatisfying... It does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity.

What is God? Is God a giant man who once incarnated as his own son 2,000 years ago through the womb of a woman in the Middle East? Certainly not. Is God a man who created everything we see? Wrong again. These stories are just perceptions filtered through the limited human mind. They are not ultimate truths. Is God male? No way. This notion is an erroneous interpretation by the male ego.
"God" is the Life Force
One can think of God as the life force or sentience that permeates the cosmos - gravity or levity, it matters not. As an example of such an energy, one can take a plug and stick it into an electrical outlet - this "zapping" is what becoming spiritual is all about. One becomes plugged into "God." But think about that electrical life force: It has no form. In other words, it's not a human being. It has no gender; it's not a male. It has no color; it's not white. It has no size and no container. That life force, or "God," is not a giant white man, as we have been told, who can mysteriously incarnate himself through the womb of a virgin of any particular ethnicity. Rather than being historical, these are myths that are merely symbolic for the creation of matter out of spirit.
In the Far East, this life force has been discerned as and termed "the Tao." The Tao is the "thing" that makes birds chirp, cats purr and the sap of the trees run. We can also call it "cosmic consciousness." It is simply an energy, sentience or spirit that pervades all things. Far from having gender, as we have been led to believe, it is the magnetic principle between the male and female potencies. It is also the male and female polarities themselves. This Great Spirit, Tao, or God, encompasses all things. If it is not all-encompassing, it is not God. Anything less than the total is not God. The definition of "God" is omnipresence itself. Nothing is outside of "God."
The Cosmic Mind
The creative/destructive mechanism of this all-encompassing life force can be called the "cosmic mind" or the "universal mind." This cosmic mind projects its thoughts into form; hence, reality could be called "God's Dream." But this dream includes the fragmentation of the Divine into seemingly dense objects and entities that have a will and independence of their own. As separate entities, we are nonetheless connected atomically to this life force, but the individual ego separates itself into a deluded state. This delusion, or maya, can become so strong that the creative life force is limited and the entity in which this spark exists no longer knows that it is "God." This delusion, which can be called "Satan" if personified, is how existence creates, by separating itself out of the whole and presenting the illusion of the many. But this delusion/ego/Satan is not anything bad until it is so separate and dense that it no longer sees itself all around but sees "other," which it is then free to harm if need be or desire arises.
True Spirituality
True spirituality is defined not by separation but by union, union with the whole, union with the life force, Great Spirit, Tao, or God, that lies behind creation and binds it together. Of course, the separation itself could also be thought of as a spiritual experience, in that it provides an opportunity for an individual soul to truly develop itself. Yet in that development, we come back to the omnidimensionality of being one with the cosmos. It is a paradox, yet one we like to live with, one that we ourselves created, as directors of our own drama. To be separate yet infinite - now, this is "God." This union is ecstasy, which in Greek means "to stand outside oneself."
Anything that imposes limits on an infinite divinity is not a complete spiritual system or experience. Anything that projects form upon this genderless, raceless, formless and nonhierarchical godliness is not the ultimate truth. The ultimate truth, which is "God," cannot have any form whatsoever, no gender, no race and no hierarchy.
"God" Has No Form or Gender
In the gnostic or esoteric systems of any religion, the Ultimate is always perceived as utterly formless. The realization of such formless Ultimate is considered within these systems to be the flowering of consciousness, the maturation of the soul and psyche. Thus, the definition of "God" as a father-figure in the sky is a lower understanding upon which lies man's puerility and immaturity. Creation has no gender, nor does the creator. "God" is not only father but mother, and grandfather and aunt and grandmother and uncle and cousin and sister and brother, etc. If the "Mother of God" can give birth to "God," She must also be God. Can an imperfect, unholy being give birth to a perfect, divine one? She must also be divine, which makes her God.
In reality, behind the fables, the truth is that the "Mother of God" also has no form but is simply the female aspect of creation, when the neutral Spirit-Atom begins to divide itself. The principal elements out of the formless creator/destroyer/ balancer are male and female, in equal proportions. The perfect yin/yang balance is the basis of creation. There is no hierarchy in spirit; hence, the female is never in reality lower than the male, as certain "religious" traditions teach. In humans, the density grows so strong, the ego so potent and intoxicating, that the gender aspect becomes all-consuming. One is nearly completely defined by the gender of the material vessel in which the genderless consciousness is carried. While this illusion is remedied spiritually, in this earthly dimension these differences remain between male and female. The remedy is that the consciousness of the individual, through enlightenment or "God-realization," recognizes that it is both male and female and neither. It is an impartial observer or "witness." Yet, we need not be so hasty in maintaining a genderless state for ourselves, as we are rather fond of the play between polarities, which is in large part why we take birth. Vive la différence!
The Ego, Consciousness and Enlightenment
The ego will perceive itself as having a gendered experience, but the witness behind the ego is a clean slate of pure sentience. In this dualistic creation, both experiences will happen simultaneously, where one can know the union of existence, the genderlessness and egolessness, and one can enjoy the separation. The difference is one of consciousness. The conscious, awakened individual will know in her/his inner being that she/he is "one with creation," but will also know that as the creator of her/his own drama she/he has chosen to incarnate into the denser, more deluded realms, for the sake of the experience itself. He or she has no other reason for incarnating, just as "God," or the universal mind, has no reason for creating except for its own amusement. Once an illuminated soul knows this, then he or she is free to create his or her own experience and purpose for incarnating. This experience is liberation. It is enlightenment.
Enlightenment, which seems to many to be so nebulous, awesome and scary, is very easy. It is not miracles or magic tricks, although those can be developed if desired strongly enough. Enlightenment is simply the realization of who is pulling the strings of one's puppet. It is the revelation of autonomy to the individual. It is the bestowal of the ultimate god-authority over one's own being. It is when the cosmic creative mind and the individual consciousness merge, when one's mind becomes united with the Cosmos. This mental merger goes beyond the mind and penetrates the very cells of the being. This penetration is possible because the god-force resides within the soul-cells of every entity.
Perceiving the Divine
There are many practices that can lead to union or reunion with this life force, Great Spirit, Tao, God. We can use yoga or prayer, meditation, chanting or sex. We can play basketball in the Zone. We can eat good food or engage in intelligent, funny or meaningless conversation. We can run up hills, climb mountains and swim seas. Or we can sleep. Ultimately, no practice is needed, when one becomes united with this "godhead," when one has returned to the natural state, from which the human ego has created separation. Reunion with this life force is the mark of true religious experience and system. A true religious system is not one that demands slobbering at the feet of a separate god-ego - however large and frightening, whatever race or gender - but one that leads to communion and union with the quality of divinity itself.
GOD IS BORG - RESISTANCE IS FUTILE
The cosmic union of which we speak, however, is voluntary and not dependent on the grace or force of another. It is not the soul-enslavement prescribed by religious ideologies that say one must surrender to "God." It is merely the experience of Totality, of the Cosmos, which we think is a pretty big rush. This "coming back to God/Godhead" is not the BORG experience, wherein one is assimilated against one's will to an uncreative group of drones linked to a central mind. Indeed, that totalitarian despot is the classic description of "God" provided by theists and religionists.
All we're talking about here is when your mind is blown, such that your whole world dissolves and you are in another plane altogether, one that contains the plentitude of the void, with its infinite worlds - the ultimate paradox and the biggest amusement park. Now, this Cosmic Orgasm is "God," not the creature that priests portray who wants you to be begging him all the time, while sleepwalking through life, like BORG. Knowing this Cosmic Orgasm actually allows you to be free from GOD/BORG. It allows you to become the creator. And from there you come back down to Earth and actually relish the separation, which is also divine, for it allows you, me, us and them to exist - individuals having a vast array of often exquisite experiences. Knowing we are the creator of our own dramas, however, allows us to make those experiences even more exquisite and ecstasy-filled.

The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini
& the Rise of the Female Light, 1949-2013

Life is amazing! Every 13,000 yrs on Earth a sacred & secret event takes
place that changes everything, an even that changes the very course of
history. At this moment, this rare event is occurring, but only a few people
know. Most of those who do know have kept it quiet & hidden until now.
What I am speaking about is the Earth's Kundalini. Connected to the center
of the Earth is an energy that appears & behaves much like a snake as it
moves, similar to the way Kundalini energy moves in the human body.
It is this energy that gives rise to spiritual seekers everywhere on Earth
. not only in the ashrams, kankas & monasteries of the world, but also
even in ordinary life & ordinary people who, in their own way, are seeking
God/dess. The Earth's Kundalini is the secret energy that is connected to
the hearts of all of humankind.
The Earth's Kundalini is always attached to a single location on the surface
of the Earth & stays there for a period of about 13,000 yrs. Then it moves
on to a new location for the next 13,000 yrs, based upon cycles of 9, or
what we call the Precession of the Equinox. When it moves, our idea of what
"Spiritual" means changes. It transforms according to the new energies of
the future cycle leading us into a higher spiritual path.
The bigger picture is this. The Kundalini has 2 poles, & 1 is in the exact
center of the Earth. The other is located on the surface somewhere &
anywhere in the world. It is the consciousness of the Earth herself that
decides where it is to be.
There is a pulse of exactly 12,920 yrs when the polarity of the Earth's
Kundalini changes to the opposite pole, & it simultaneously changes location
on the surface of the Earth. This new location not only rapidly wakes up the
people living near this sacred point on Earth, but also sends a frequency
into the electromagnetic grids surrounding the Earth. This in turn, affects
those consciousness grids in ways that are determined by the Earth's DNA. We
grow according to a set plan & design!
To the few that know of this event & what is occurring all around us, a
wisdom is transferred, & a peaceful state of being becomes their
inheritance, for they know the awesome truth. In the midst of chaos, war,
starvation, plagues, environmental crisis & moral breakdown that we are
experiencing here on Earth today at the end of this cycle, they understand
the transition & know no fear. This fearless state is the secret key to the
transformation that, for millions of years, has always followed this sacred
cosmic event.
On 1 level this means that spiritually the Female will now have her turn to
lead humankind into the New Light! Eventually, this Female spiritual light
will permeate the entire range of human experience from Female leaders in
business & religion to Female heads of state. By 2012-2013 this Female
spiritual light will become so strong as to become obvious to all who live
on this dear planet & will continue to grow for 1,000's of yrs.
For many of you, none of this will probably make any sense until you read
chapters 2 & 3. Chapter 2 is the Cosmic Knowledge of what is actually
occurring in nature & in the stars & how it relates to this new cycle of
light. Chapter 3 is the history of what the ancient cultures understood
about this sacred event up to this present time. This prepares you for the
content of this book.
Beginning with Chapter 4 will be the stories of my personal experience &
involvement with this "Serpent of Light" & the 100's of indigenous
tribes/cultures that have secretly helped guide this spiritual energy from
Tibet to its new home in South America! Coming out of Tibet into India, it
then moved in a snakelike manner to almost every country in the world until
it reached Chile, the new home of the Earth's Kundalini, the new "Tibet".
What has occurred in the world along this path that the Earth's Kundalini
has taken has been almost unbelievable. People from different cultures &
countries all cooperating together "as though" they were coordinated by a
higher power simply for the good of human life. Without this spiritual
assistance, I believe, humanity will be unable to evolve to the next level
of consciousness, crucial to our very survival.
For me, the call to this way of life was so strong that I felt like I had no
choice. I simply began to happen all around me as I followed my
inner-guidance.
But I am not the only 1. There are 10s or 1,000s of people, mostly
indigenous people, who have been led by a deep inner guidance, from 1949 to
the present, to help bring this unyielding White Snake to its new location
high up in the Andes Mountains in Chile, where it now finally resides. Not
only is this a shift of spiritual power from the male to Female, but it is
also a spiritual power shift from Tibet & India to Chile & Peru. The Light
of the World that has been nurtured & expanded with the Tibetan & Indian
cultures is now completed. Its new reign has just begun in Chile & Peru, &
soon it will affect the hearts of all humankind.
These are my personal stories as I have followed my inner-guidance helping
bring balance to a troubled world. My graining has been to stay connected
with Mother Earth & Father Sky within a secret place within my heart. It is
very simple. Once 1 is connected to the Divine Mother & Father in this way,
life becomes 1 miracle after another. Never could anyone plan these kinds of
stories. They are conceived from outside myself in the nature that surrounds
us. Some of these stories break the laws of physics, but not the laws of our
Mother.

Ahim-sa, in so many of your posts these last few days, it's as if you and are on the same wavelength on many levels. Only yesterday did I write a list of what I believed God to be. I was going to post it but thought it might be too presumptious to do so as I didn't want to impress my own viewpoints that strongly on those who are discovering this for themselves.
I agree with much of what Acharaya says here especially the part about 'relishing the separation'. Where I think the New Age has gone wrong is to believe that God is ONLY within us. As an individuated piece of the Divine, we have a relationship with the All That Is to allow us to create our own unique experience.
So, not only are we part of God and God is within us, but it is also 'separate' inasmuchas there is 'me and everything else which is not me'...and that's the relationship I'm currently trying to develop.
You see, there comes a point (as Ajax so expertly writes about 'this is not mine' on the subject of emotional responses), where one realises the voices/signs are not necessarily coming from within oneself. There IS something 'out there' which communicates with us.

There is much to be said for the conscious state of becoming happy. And 'happy' and 'God' have, historically, not coincided up until now (because we didn't seem to allow that before).
Humanity seems to have gone to the ends of the Earth to create anything BUT happiness for themselves and each other. I'm sure this goes back to the age-old desire we've kept within the DNA for the need 'to be controlled' by some superpower/God in the sky. At last, we are evolving to become sovereign and are throwing out all that isn't Love.
When I see Sunpar, Darza, Oannes, Nahoj, femto, Dances, Caruso, Floydian, Phoenix, et al, enjoying themselves on the thread, they really are maximising on their God-given talents, IMO. Being happy is something I tend to struggle with but something I'm learning how to become because being happy always, really, required a relationship with Source (now I look back) because the ultimate state of unhappiness is feeling disconnected or abandoned by Love/God.

Hi Pheonix - this thread just disappeared for about 3 minutes. When are they going to wake up ?? The slaughter continues, people, whales, seals, at times - like now - I just can't think, I don't know how to make it stop. Sign things, boycott things, turn veg, be kind to everything within my "field" but it just does'nt stop. At times I just wanta leave. And it better be all a illusion, otherwise its just so fucked up, its almost unbearable.

Millions hope their votes will rid them of President Robert Mugabe

Tension was building on the streets of Harare last night as voting ended in Zimbabwe's most important election for nearly 30 years.
Millions of Zimbabweans were daring to hope their votes will have finally rid them of their tyrannical President Robert Mugabe.
In previous elections he has paid party thugs to attack voters, and ordered police and soldiers to fire water cannons and rubber bullets on people protesting at being turned away from polling booths.
Yesterday's proceedings were orderly, but many Zimbabweans believe the results will be doctored in Mugabe's favour.
Fighter jets staged fly-overs as a terrifying warning to voters, so the day-long stream of humanity going to the polls was silent and solemn.
The whole country is holding its breath until the results are declared in the next two days amid wholesale scepticism about Mugabe ever relinquishing power.
The opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change, last night vowed to hold its own vote count, claiming there was no possibility of a fair process if left to the government's Electoral Commission.
The biased prediction of Mugabe's own party, the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front, is that he will get 57 per cent of the vote – enough to give him a sixth term. Independent polls, however, show opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai can beat him.
Mugabe has already warned: "We are in a war situation. If our opponents want to put a rope around their necks that is OK with us."
His army and police chiefs have publicly declared they will accept no winner but him.
And the prison chief's instruction to all his staff to vote for Mugabe begs the question of what could happen in the immediate aftermath of an opposition victory.
Veteran Zimbabwe-watchers variously predict the declaration of military law or a state of emergency.

If you are awake and beyond the division then don't feed it. Use what you know in your heart as truth. Love and happiness will actually expedite the inner final push. Lead by example.

Well like in the post i just made which i did speak of this time well for me, my share in things. but it was 1999 when i first found myway online and found myself in a spiritual chatroom, I went there lost and vunrable like many who first enter the darknight alone i sought out fellow people to help . But what i found was control and hurt. I was sucked into a internet cult complete with its inner circle and mere followers, I spent 3 years trapped in that hell hole before i somehow found enough light and strenth to rebel and break lose and for my action of freedom i was attacked for it. Why because i went against the group will, you see thats what it was about. It took me many years to put my path back together and thats when i met My Lea there in the offspring of the first place. And one of the people who was with me in the first cult saw the taste of power and claimed it for themselfs and made another so to say and again the cycle started and Lea was pulled in and stripped of everything she held dear and it was at this time like some romance novel i kicked the dam doors down and got her out and while i was there stood up to them and walked away with my power again. I took it back from them. In the end i was run out of town for standing up to crule people, they watched and watched while they group attacked me and others. So yeah my view of lightworkers has its taints but it does not own it.. like i have said i have faced my demons on this and many other things head on. and I own it now not me.

A good example of this would be a mother who is miserable -how can she make her children happy if she, herself, is unhappy?

So, not only are we part of God and God is within us, but it is also 'separate' inasmuchas there is 'me and everything else which is not me'...and that's the relationship I'm currently trying to develop.
I meant to add, the purpose being not only to co-create for my OWN experience but also to co-create a better world and, in turn, a happier 'God'. It stands to reason that if God wants Its creations to be 'happy', then that is also what it wants for Itself.
There is much to be said for the conscious state of becoming happy. And 'happy' and 'God' have, historically, not coincided up until now (because we didn't seem to allow that before).
Humanity seems to have gone to the ends of the Earth to create anything BUT happiness for themselves and each other. I'm sure this goes back to the age-old desire we've kept within the DNA for the need 'to be controlled' by some superpower/God in the sky. At last, we are evolving to become sovereign and are throwing out all that isn't Love.
When I see Sunpar, Darza, Oannes, Nahoj, femto, Dances, Caruso, Floydian, Phoenix, et al, enjoying themselves on the thread, they really are maximising on their God-given talents, IMO. Being happy is something I tend to struggle with but something I'm learning how to become because being happy always, really, required a relationship with Source (now I look back) because the ultimate state of unhappiness is feeling disconnected or abandoned by Love/God.
