My mother is a gosh damn LIAR!!!

What kind of sick game is this?

It's bad enough that (I should leave it in the past, its only an example) she denies kicking me out of the house at 13 on THANKSGIVING for arguing and cussing at her. She's lied about any and everything.

Then the latest; mother likes to drink ok. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, shes a grown ass woman! But even my husband, from the way my mother talks about her and her friends, and the pics she sends us, can tell that she likes her drinks on the weekends. And he's only met her once. That outta say something. You see, everytime I would talk on the phone to my mother on the weekends in the last year, she usually had a hangover. Thats fine ya know, whatever. But just this last week, we were talking. She constantly stays sick because of her ashma, and the allergies where she lives. Shes also middle age and her immune system isnt the best. She had a virus that even the antibiotics weren't completely helping, and I simply told her she should cut out the drinking because it slows down your immune system. Was simply trying to give useful advice.

She told me that she doesn't drink much and hasn't had ANYTHING TO DRINK in the last month. FIRST OF ALL, the week before that text she had told me her friends set up some mini beer bong for her and her friends with fireball whiskey in the center. And then TWO DAMN NIGHTS before that text aswell, she was trying to remember a name of something for me but couldn't. Her texts were kinda scrambled and she said it was because she had a few drinks.

Remembering that she had told me she was drinking twice alone in the past week, and that she just told me she hasn't drank anything in the past month, I became honest. I told her "Lol mom. You don't have to lie. You told me twice in the past week you were drinking. Wasn't it you who taught me that its wrong to lie?"

Then she writes a long ass bullshit paragraph explaining herself, totally blowing off the facts as If i was lying. She told me im under the impression that she drinks more than she actually does, and that she "feels disrespected" because im calling her out. She said she hasn't been drinking.

I didn't even respond after that. I mean what the hell????? My mom ALWAYS uses these manipulation tactics to get me back in my place. She will constantly loudly express her opinions, and give you advice. Yet when you even respectfully tell her the truth, she resorts to yelling, and or swearing, twisting words, telling you You're hurting her feelings or "disrespecting her" (even if you are being completely respectful) etc.

I feel like a sucker everytime I talk to this woman. I honestly have no respect for her anymore. I was a bad child, but when you see what I was put through, goodness gracious i see why now. Shes a liar, shes narcissistic and doesnt show much interest in my life, she thinks shes better just because she lives in CA and me in TX, and the list goes on.

I just dont feel like I'm being true to myself when i talk to her. I love her as my mother, but I honestly can't stand the woman.

I feel so much better getting that out. Sorry yall.
