What if Homosexuality really is a mental disease?

What if it arises in men and women who were mollested as children? Are we doing them a diservice by telling them that it is OK to be insane? If they are suffering from a mental disorder as a result of trauma, is it true then that they are in fact unable to ever have true love? Is that OK?
