ok...just had weird daytime dream...with very weird message...anyone care to decipher it?

Jehovah was Jesus' old name. Isaiah 62:2 Jehovah says he will give himself a new name. Well he's had many names in the past, but this new name he was going to give it to the non-Jews.. JESUS!

Christ means Messiah which means Anointed One. "Christ" is greek, "Messiah" is Hebrew but they both mean the same thing. God came to earth as Jesus Christ, therefore he couldn't have done anything sneaky, especially since GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING! And they wanted to kill Jesus because he was proving himself to be the God of everything without actually coming out and saying it so directly.

The bible warns us not to question God in his decision making. He is God, he knows everything, certainly more than us. Like when we trust our parents, so we must trust God in all he does. That's faith!

Please...PLEASE...dont turn this thread into a bible fight.

Actually i said a prayer kinda like that not long after i had the dream.

One thing i know...something is up. Ive reached a vital turning point in life.

And this dream came unexpectedly..but RIGHT when i was close to giving up.

Something is afoot.

I fell asleep at 1:30 pm. For a start i NEVER sleep at that time.

I had a short dream.

I was in a room where some musicians were playing a slow jazz number. I can remeber the tune too.

Ive never heard it before but i wont forget it now.

Anyway..there was this old scruffy looking bloke who played a really cool sax solo..

But right before the solo i heard the words sung...

"The rain will drag you under...the sons will give you thunder"

It was a gospel jazz of some sort.

I remeber thinking in the dream that the sax player looked about as holy as hitler did...but the look in his eyes as i came closer..

Wow...pure love and power.

I also heard the words "i see the heart" when i came close to look at the scruffy looking sax player.

The message was sung again as i woke up..

"The rain will drag you under...the sons will give you thunder"

Ive had odd dreams before...but jever as real as this or with such a..message..attatched.

Those words...mean something.

Anyone got any ideas?

Jesus named two brothers who were his disciples "Sons of Thunder". God's voice has been stated as sounding like thunder.

The rain in this context has a negative connotation because of being "dragged under" by it. Therefore I believe the rain represents sadness and tears, sad times, sad events. The pain and sadness can bring you to a point of inability to function.

If this message is prophetic from the Lord Jesus then it's a good one.

The sadness will bring you down but once you are "down" the sons of God (people with the Holy Spirit) will give you their same thunder, the power and Spirit of the Lord God Jesus Christ.

The jazz you heard was soothing, not partying or sad, so the player (angel) was trying to comfort you. In the trying times ahead you will reflect back on this dream and find comfort in it when you are actually experiencing the sadness.

Jesus is calling you to surrender all to him! Seek his forgiveness with your voice for all of your sins and he will grant it! Seek the baptism of his Holy Spirit! Activate your faith by talking to him!

But ive made such a mess of life...ive failed over and over.

And yes...i am depressed...but this dream...it gave me hope...and something more...i feel..a purpose..a strength..returning.

Its easy to forgive others.

Forgiving ones self...is the hardest.

If only i could fly free of my past..im so sick of it.

I wish it could be erased.

Meet other Christians and talk with them, ask them questions. You should be hanging out with believers as you also are a believer. We are family and they are nearby you to support you and you them! Read the New Testament to know the will of God for you. If we don't read our father's will, or have a lawyer read it to us, how will we ever receive our inheritance?

May Jesus bless you. Seek him, he's all you need. Don't give up, he will fulfill his promise to you. He's with you, guiding you to that special time when your joy will be complete. Be an overcomer and stay positive, never believe anything negative! Keep your faith in the Lord of your life, the Lord of lords, King of creation, our Maker and best friend, daddy Jesus!

Omg, this thread is deep in it.

I get these images/thoughts, kinda like
a photographic memory. Anyway, that line
about the rain made me think of a maelstrom
in the sea. Also, a lyric from a song in the 60's
popped in my head.

Maybe it's significant, did
the dream seem very vivid?

You don't need to let it go. You need to learn to appreciate the good that came from it. Even if it sucked.
