As many have said, it's coming, yes to the USA as well. Anyone who pays attention can see it coming from miles away.

Wage stagnation, increasing automation, rising cost of living, longer lifespans and a large bubble of soon-to-be-elderly coming up, increasing miniaturization, increased societal awareness re: what is actually necessary to 'live' vs exist and awareness of QOL (note, I did not say income) inequality.


It's coming. And I say this as a conservative 32 year old white male with an education and one of those jobs that will not be automated away (at least not without leaps and bounds of improvements in AI).

There will come a point, and I think end of trump or immediately after, where it will seem like we have another magical tech golden age. The technology exists to never have more than two or three people in, for example, a fast food restaurant, but the mindset to accept that in the public isn't here. Very few humans need to waste their lives in mines, in factories, in fast food jobs, etc. Not everyone is intelligent enough to be a developer, or doctor, or whatever. So they must be paid to exist, or starve. The world is moving on.

This is the easy part, coming up. The hard part is going to be after 70 years of living wage payments and the population has stabilized into the 'do' and 'do not' (because all will, more or less, have), what are we going to do about the do-nots. Because that's the next question, and that is when morals and ideals will truly be tested.

How about a robot tax?

This now answers my question on why my computer's "search" feature was replaced by the words "Ask Me Anything". It is as if someone wants you to think it is a living being. These words TRICK the mind.

The minimalist movement is on the rise. People are getting tired of working for big houses and stuff to fill it up. People are looking for more time to do the things they love and to develop talents and to also help others. A basic income would even facilitate this movement even more.

I could see so many moms being able to quit jobs to stay home and raise their families. When I grew up we had one car(eventually got two but they weren't expensive) and a small home. Mom made all the meals and even sewed some of our clothes. People were more relaxed even though we didn't have much. We had time though. Everyone on our street knew each other and families were really involved in schools. Even homeschooling on a larger scale would be possible as well with a parent at home.

This could really be a winning situation because most people would not become idle. They would become to opposite and communities would thrive.

Our local council in Scotland are to do it as well. Fife and Glasgow councils have signed up to trial the basic income scheme

It's the opposite actually. If we continue to use bank paper and honor their debts they will enter into negative rates and charge interest on your deposits.

They will also charge you 6-8% of all your transactions, purchases and deposits and they will also record all your transactions and sell them to interested parties like insurance companies or your employer.

That is the effect of the debt that structures an economy forcing it into servicing the debt. It's actually castrating the economy because the more debt that has to be serviced, the less "organic" economic activity can occur because it's tied up in servicing debt that was already used for consumption.

So we need to force government to print it's own currency and support itself along with it's massive entitlement apparatus to keep our private lives private.

I envision the world moving to a star trek style socialist hybrid system this century with single world government. Either aliens are real and will be the focal point of this change, or the aliens will be manufactured to create the focal point. It doesn't really matter which. But there will be a common worldwide enemy that will be used to usher in this system.
