It must be bad they want you to check in so fakebook can make sure you are okay.

I made a comment in this thread early this morning about the check-ins.

They are getting people used to that, so when a FF happens, they make people check in to see if there were any potential witnesses to what REALLY happened, and if they need to be "spoken" to about what they saw.

It hit my relative's town pretty hard. About 4 miles from their house in Adel, Ga.

That's how smart people communicate from minute to minute in natural disasters. I would not have believed it if I didn't witness it. Funny how some people are clueless.

Yeah, because when I'm fighting for my life in a natural disaster, the first thing I think of doing is logging onto Facebook...

You're that stupid, huh?

Now obviously I am not talking about technologically inept mountain folk such as yourself, but most people nowadays have their phones on them at all times. Know what your phone has on it? Facebook, and most people stay logged in to that, so it's a readily available and accessible form of communication during a disaster.

Calm seas do not a sailor make,
Nor easy horses, a horseman.
And Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching from his lonely wooden tower and when He could be certain only drowning men could see Him- Leonard Cohen

Is Twitter more than entertainment as well? I'm not sure what our current president would say about that..
