My daughters local school was having a bake sale and I said something about I could make cookies, they said only store bought cookies and cakes were allowed because it was illegal to sell home made cakes and cookies and that was years ago here in NC.

One wonders if this law reduces prices and encourage people to start businesses.

And the dirty,filthy police will enforce this law.....

It's not. Just the nanny state thinking of new ways to play jesus because someone could get sick.

has been illegal everywhere for many yrs.why?? cause in the old days a man fell into a meat grinder and the company,not wanting to shut down and lose profits,shipped the meat.hence we had labor unions formed and gov agancies to protect the consumer. that has since ran its course and now the agency is in the pockets of the big corporations anyhow.they havent wanted u to bake goodies for kids in school for a long time. dont want u adding drugs to it since the tylenol episode many halloweens back.u can not sell food without the inspections.thou if there is a recall,the gov wont tell u for 6mths or after u ate the bad food,which ever is later.most towns wont let u sell or do any business without paying their umm administrative fee. this includes lemonade stands,church sponsered bake sales,begging,etc.
now is there a better and safer way to solve the problems?? big question: who do u trust???? who does anyone really trust nowdays??? the world sits on the edge of anarchy/ every man for himself.trust no one no where.
