I was doing 30 minutes everyday...And hating it. Don't start with the "you don't need to do cardio everyday" stuff.
First thing I did was broke up my cardio tools. I was just using a treadmill. Now I do aprox. 5 min on a treadmill, 5 minutes on recumbent bike, then back to treadmill, and so on. It really broke up the monotony.
He's how I've turned my cardio into a blowtorch on a candle fat burner, in a little more than 30 minutes.
Warm up 2 minutes on either bike or treadmill Then:
All-out sprint as fast as I can for 20 seconds; Then a very slow pace for 2 minutes
All-out sprint for 20 seconds again; Then very slow pace for 2 minutes
All-out sprint for 20 seconds; Then very slow pace for 2 minutes again.
Let's call ^^^ that ^^^, 1 set. Then switch to the other (either bike to tread, or vice versa)
In essence, I'm doing 6 sets in a little over 30 minutes. Yes, your heart rate will go through the roof, and it can be grueling. But it actually seems so much easier than just grinding it out at a consistent pace. And believe it or not, for me, the time flys by so much faster.
