Which is why, when them come up against professionals they collapse. They haven't collapsed yet in over a few thousand years of fighting against 'professional forces' - from Persia to Rome - Babylon to Ancient Egypt - and beyond. The counter-argument can be made that professionals have to be trained to do what they do - these people are being trained to mimic professionals (badly) - but everyone out there who has fought these types of people know very well they're no joke and can fight with the very best 'professional' out there. The only difference is the 'professional' has a lot more technological compensation working in for him at the moment - but the field is being levelled. You'd best respect your enemy - which is part of your entire problem and blinds you on the field... |

If your talking about Arab/Muslim armies, they were very much professional forces in their own right, so that is not what I'm talking about. These ISIS forces are made up of disgruntled 20 somethings from around the world. Granted some of them, like the Chechens are very well trained in basic unit movements. But most arrive with no idea what they are doing, and the training they receive is very poor. These guy do not stand up well against well trained professionals. Keep in mind, those holding Mosal, are being attacked by very average forces of the Iraqi Army, and militias. And loose ground daily. If you watch any footage from Mosul, the Iraqis are very brave, but do not move with any discipline, yet they are still kicking the ISIS forces out. The Iraqis do have some small "Special" units that have received intense trainging by our advisors, and they are able to remain disciplined under fire and quickly dispatch an ISIS forces in front of them, it's no contest.
