Need a Browser Recommendation
I'm on Windows 7, on a 5 year old HP Pavilion g6 netbook. I love Firefox overall, it's been the only browser I've used for years.

However, whenever FF is up, my computer's processor fan is running a mile-a-minute. I close it down, a few moments later, the fan runs quiet. I watch a LOT of videos (mainly YT).

So, I need a new browser that is NOT a resource/processor hog. I've read mixed reviews about Palemoon.

But no review I have seen any browser talks about how much of a resource/processor hog they are.

So ... what do I do?

Well, installing IceDragon was a very easy experience, and it imported all my FF bookmarks and such without hassle.

But my fan is still running like mad.

Hmmmmm.

It is using a lot less memory than FF. A LOT less. That is good.

I've been using Pale Moon for quite a while now and I like it quite well. Had to stop using Firefox cause it was freezing up.

I tried Brave and thought it was cool but then it seemed like it was causing some kind of conflict with my system so I uninstalled it.

Avast antivirus has a browser called Avast Safe Zone which I've experimented with briefly on a few occasions, it seems like it has potential.

I've used pale moon for a couple of years now, it's nice not having pop ups. I installed brave and have it still on my laptop but it's desktop appearance kind of freaks me out. Seems like it's blocking too much. Hard to describe maybe photos aren't loaded or something. Maybe that's how it's supposed to look but it just looks like something is missing
