The guitar is a Gibson SG Custom (3 pickups). First produced in 1960 (tho it wasn't called an SG yet). It was a thinner, double cutaway version of the Les Paul. It was made famous by Pete Townsend of The Who and Angus Young of AC/DC. The SG is a very smooth-playing guitar.

Regardless of when it was (most likely early 60s), she is an incredible musician. She was using a tube amp with the distortion cranked up a good bit. I was kind of disappointed that the chorus didn't join in and the band was not visible. However, she was a great player with enough skill to put most other players to shame. That is a great video and it is fortunate that it still exists. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Django Reinhardt was a gypsy with a crippled left hand, and made the most beautiful swing jazz music I've ever heard. (Also check out Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown which is a tribute to him).
