President Trump - PLEASE re-haul USAJOBS.gov

I am just venting.

That USAJOBS website is just a total and utter joke.

First off, vets get a 10 or 15 point preference - no matter the duty. I come from a military family, and have lived everywhere in the US and even overseas. But come on, if they continue this then why not just call it what it is - jobs for only former military.

What about the military wives that went all over the world while they were in the military. What about hiring simply because you are qualified.

When there is actually an opening that they are going to consider someone that is not a vet. Well then, that job description is written exactly for that one specific friend or co-worker they have in mind and no one else in the US - dump the nepotism. They put in the most obscure requirement that knocks everyone else out of the running - except for that one person they have in mind. And yes, I have been told this directly from hiring managers that list the jobs, and those vets that have been hired.

They need to rebuild it all from the bottom up. They need to have total transparency for the hires and of those listing the jobs.

You get the familiar random rejection email ---- based upon your "responses" to the questionnaire there will be no assessment of your resume, thank you for applying. And these emails never have a name, it is either automated or someone in an office that doesn't add their name so you can't ask questions, can't do a followup....nothing.

People don't take the HUGE amount of time to apply answering page after page of questions unless they are more than qualified, and unless these hiring offices are specific about the responses to the questionnaire you have no way of telling what the hell they are talking about. You have no way of contacting any of these offices to call them on the carpet and tell them line item by line item you have covered all the bases.

They need to allow someone to oversee these job listings and the people they hire to see if indeed none of the other thousands of applicants fit that job.....they need to stop this one hand washes the other that has been going on for years.
